That is quite heavy as you know so I really think you should see your GP for some checks before going in for that much strenuous excersise. You build it up normally...3 miles each way will wipe you out.

They helped me tremendously to get the courage to up & leave.. Once i had mde up my mind to leave, itonly took me 3 days & I was gone.. I lef with only my cat, zeenamarie, theclothes on my back... I left 25 yrs of crafts,jewelry akings, artwrk,boooks,etc., etc. just tget away from him..I have never lookd back... and as you know i am in a greatrelationship now with rex....Yes it as all worth every bitof it... mylot rally pulled thru for me then &they still do now...lori

Congrats!! I don't know what that is in pounds unless I convert hehe. (Finds the online conversion chart) Ok, now that I have cheated, lol, let me say I was way more than you after the baby was born a year ago. I was 265 at birth end, and quickly put on weight taking me just over 300. I went out and bought a Wii Fit after reading a woman on here who was losing weight. I thought, welll I'm a softy for the latest gimmick and I already had the Wii to play Star Wars on, so what the heck! I've been doing my Wii Fit for almost 5 months now and am now 250 as of last night, and 5 inches off my waistline! My guess is, you're probably like me in that we hide our weight. No one ever believes my weight if they see pictures! However, in comparing last years Ren Fest pictures with this years pictures you can see the weight loss.
I do my Wii Fit faithfully daily, and have started training with my husband who is my martial arts instructor. All because another Mylotter inspired me to try something new.
I give myself a good talking to about a lot of things, Alice. Most recently was not to let people bother me if they don't like me. Not everyone is going to. DJ has been keeping me in "reality", ok turning me to the Darkside along with my hubby but I love that I've got fellow Mylotters who give me a good dose of reality when I need it.

I can totally relate to your change. Yes, I like myself, but for a long time I struggled with it, especially as my first marriage was abusive. Now I'm married to a very loving man, who is very supportive. Have a wonderful weekend.

10. savak03 (2205) | 4 months ago | Frequently Alice, but frankly I'm a little worried. Starting out on a 3 mile walk after not being very active for a period of time seems a bit ambitious. You said you have gained so much it is hard to walk and breath. You may want to try a shorter distance at first.
I, too need to get out and walk more. I'm not very active either. But I haven't been able to walk long distances for awhile now. I would say I wouldn't even be able to make it around the block my first time out.
Just be careful and don't overdo it.

It's aggravating to find yourself stranded with no where to sit down and no energy to get where your going or to turn back.
