Which language NEWS do you prefer to watch?  |

 I like to watch the English news channels as they tend to cover more of the national & international news than the locals NEWS channels.The local NEWS channels give priority to the local news & a bit of national news & international news.

| 5. savak03 (2171) | 3 months ago |  Well, since English is the only language I really speak I guess I'm stuck with the English news. I have always admired people who are bilingual and have always wanted to learn a different language. The problem is it is almost impossible for me to learn a new language without someone to talk to. I am told that as a small child I spoke fluent German. My grandfather was German and he and I apparently had many conversations. He died when I was four though and since then I have not had an opportunity to practice. Now, sadly, I only remember two or three words.

...the thing is as english is a universal language you dont have to think much.You can get to know the things with the english news channels.I know some 4-5 languages.I can understand some, talk some & even write some. | |

The English news also provide some interesting human stories before they wrap up. Many people do not watch the English news as their command of English is going down the drain in Malaysia because of blind patriotism to the national language! Myopic and proud!

| 9. pergammano (1962) | 3 months ago |  Morning krupesh...living on a small Island like I do...there really is not much of a choice of which one can watch, unless one chooses to invest in a satellite dish as cable is not available. Thankfully, I get CBC which does cover national and International news...but oft I like to watch the local channels, to be alert as to what is happening in surrounding areas! Have a great weekend!
