Is there help for numb toes? |
|
For the longest time my toes have been numb. I mean if I touch them I can feel them but if im just like sitting here they are numb. If I try to move them they follow my big toe. It seems the big toe is okay. Does anyone know what causes this and what I could do about it? Have you ever had numb toes? Im worried should I see a foot doctor? Is there a doctor or nurse in the house here? Please advise.

2. book1962 (14566) | 3 months ago | hi caroll I am no nurse and no doctor but I am diabetic. Have you had your blood sugar tested if not please go and let it be tested as soon as you can. Sometimes numb toes mean nerve damage and thats"polyneuropathic" and has to do with undetected diabetes.

4. muscles4me (8613) | 3 months ago | Are they numb during walking and sting? If its just when you are sitting do you have your legs crossed? If yes to both of these it might just be circilation. I am not an MD though. Are they sensitive to heat and cold? Are they numb with and without shoes? Good luck.

caroll30 (1046) | 3 months ago | I really only notice it at night. When im sitting on the couch watching tv or getting ready to sleep. Otherwise they dont bother me at least I am not noticing it. I used to have blue hands but that has cleared up since I quit smoking. I had lost electrolyes a year ago and was in the hospital. Any idea of what this could be?

5. KrauseHome (13453) | 3 months ago | Personally I would be concerned especially if it lasting for any amount of time, or happening quite a bit as it could be a starting sign for a lot of other possible underlying issues as well. Do you have High Blood Pressure or does Diabetes run in your family? Do they feel Cold to the touch? I would really be concerned and consider seeing a Doctor just to rule out something more serious as well. Wishing you the Best.
