Do you like your name?

I like the name which I am hearing from my childhood which my parents have called me, my grandparents have called me and by which I have been known till now. Name is only for identification. It is really what attitude you carries that matters

I really do like my name. I don't think that I would really change it, or would want to change it. It's the name that people have called me since I was a child. I don't really think that I've ever considered changing my name.

I love my name very much not just because of the nice meaning it have but also because its my parents that gave me the name and I would always appreciate what my parents did for me since the day I was born. Even if there are nicer or should I say more unique name, I'll still love the name my parents gave me because being their son I really feel fortunate to have them as my parents as well as what they did for me sice the day I was born till date.

I think that it would be better, but it also is not really useful to propose that, because it's not like we can choose our name when we're born. It would work if we had a given name, and then chose a nickname that we were known by maybe later on in the early teen years. I personally like my name, though, and wouldn't choose to change it. It's pretty short and easy to deal with and most people can understand it. I just wish it were a little more interesting.

I like "Tony", I am always a bit uncomfortable being called "Anthony" - but as my mother chose it and I have fond memories of her, I wouldn't get rid of it.

As for my middle name, which I will not reveal - I absolutely loathe it, even though it was my father's and my grandfather's name!

My name is fine, but I didnt like the maiden name I was born with, because it was Smith which is like the most common name in the US. I like my married name better and will keep that probably forever. There are alot of good names and alot of names that are not so good in my opinion. I basically like my name though.

I actually hated the name I was given by my parents. I didn't mind it too much in the beginning, but one of the people I disliked in high school had the same name (though with different spellings) and so I grew to hate it. I actually changed it legally to the name I have now on my 18th birthday. People don't understand why I would do that, they see it as turning my back on my family. But I really didn't feel like that person anymore. I saw how the name was better used by another person so different from me, and so I gave myself one I felt I could do more with. I like this new name and wouldn't ever think of changing it. It is who I am now

hi amoyube I also dont like my given name. Simply as it was used in my childhood only to rebuke me. When all was good and well one of my many family nicknames was used. lol
To this very day I hate my name and when someone calls me with it I instantly think what have I done wrong now.

I understand where you are coming from. I personally don't really like my name as I think it doesn't suit me but at the same time I don't think I could see myself with a different one.

Some other names that I like are mostly mythological so I doubt they would be good for any child to have to grow up with.

I love my name and I would've chosen it for myself. It's Georgia and I like it because it's unusual and because of the sound of it. Yes I'm very grateful to my mum for giving me a name I can live with!
