Are we living beings going to be destroyed in about 10000 years time?

Hi golvine, The majority of scientists seem to believe that the earth will around for a few billion years yet, and I expect will outlive the human race. While the things you mention may be possible, the only thing we know with certainty is that the earth as we know it will someday be no more.Blessings.

Maybe in less time than that.

A very large comet has been observed for more than 30 years to be on a trajectory course towards the solar system. It will pass close to Earth. The theory is that this will cause the Earth to be turned upside down. The dust from the comet will cover the earth for at least one day, completely blocking sunlight. Changes will occur.

It is only a theory, but it should not be completely dismissed.

Us people, here on earth, we depend a lot on energy. We all know that we get our energy from burning fuels. We get our fuels from underneath the ground derived from coal/ oil/ methane and more. Oils/ coal and such materials, here on earth can be found underneath the ground but how did they form? All forms fuels contain the chemical Carbon and all living organisms have carbon inside their bodies. Therefore, one can say that these materials are made up of millions of years old of dead animals all decomposed and mixed together with other mineral found here on earth. How did those animals live? Those animals lived off other animals but how did the other animals live? They lived off eating plants. How did plants live? Plants live by producing their own food by photosynthesis from the...SUN. Therefore, we rely on the sun for all our energy needs. All forms of fuel here on earth, were created with the help of the sun. We can even see this in solar panels and the condensation of water from the sea to produce rain.

The universe is made up of several galaxies all joined up together. Each galaxy is made up of several solar systems all placed together. Each solar system is made up of a Sun and their planets such as our Sun, earth, mars, venus, pluto, uranus, jupiter, neptune etc.

Each Sun that we find here in the universe is made up of stars put together. Each star is made of tiny molecules of debree roaming around space combined with hydrogen. The Sun is made up of millions of stars and it is made completley out of Hydrogen, that's why our sun produces energy in the form of light and heat.

The life-expectency of each sun is calculated by the amount of hydrogen molecules (H2) that there are left in the sun. Over time, these Hydrogen molecules turn into Helium molecules (He) which turn the sun back into dust. This slow process knocks off years of life-expectency from the sun.

Each sun has an approximate life-expectency of 14,000,000 years. However, scientists were able to observe the quick decaying of Hydrogen molecules turning into Helium molecules and have concluded that from 2005 upwards, we have at least 7,000,000 years left until the sun dissapears. Since here on earth, we depend on the sun for our energy, when the sun is gone, we won't have access to that energy and therefore most of us living organisms, animals and humans will die. One must also know that all of our food is made from plants and plants live from sunlight and when that is gone, everything will be gone.

So, one can conclude that we have at lease 7,000,000 before we are surely going to become extinct, however, I do also believe that within 100 years something is going to happen to this earth because of melting ice caps, global warming, pollution, green house effect etc, but our race will not be extinguished, it will just be a reformation of the earth.

And to conclude: Are we living beings going to be destroyed in about 10000 years time?
