New York

Sounds like you have been misguided. NY is not that glamorous, just costs more to live,eat,and buy cloths. But I do know people who have lived there and loved it too... Telling me you never see the same person twice unless of course you want to or work with them.Its a great big City.Just stay out of the bad parts and enjoy.

yes i do believe living in new york city is very expensive.but i would also love to visit the place but not living.

Although I've not been to New York myself, my sister has been there twice on holiday and really liked it as a holiday destination - particularly the shopping as the Dollar was close to 2 to the Pound Sterling when she went and so the shopping was particularly cheap for her. Personally, I dislike big cities, OK to visit, but I'd hate to have to live in a big city all the time.

on what i see on TV, new york seems a beautiful place. but for my experience no matter how beautiful a city is if you have been there always that you will get tired of that place . so beauty depends on the person seeing it. it may a good place to visit for new tourist. but for those old residents New York may not be a a beautiful place at all.

I like the bright lights of the city (certainly the city that never sleeps), the dining experience in NY - you can definitely get any cuisine you want, shopping is great if you are into those high end brands. I don't like the traffice though and prices (very expensive). I guess for me, it is a place to experience once or twice.
