Do You Think Your Avatar Is One Factor To Generate Responses?

Surely other Lotters recognise your lamb in the avatar sooner than they would if you had the default one?

lolbut i think if you have an animated avatar, they will be curious to it and open it. In that case, they will be able to see the discussions that you have made and if they found it interesting, they will respond to it and it that case it adds up to the number of responders on your discussions.

Personally, from my end, even if there were animations on the avatar, what still drives to participate in the discussion is the topic. It is how interesting the topic is that makes me respond.

I agree with mysdianait and Rberon. I think the avatar do help on the response. First all of, people might be attracted by your avartar and then click your post, once they feel interesting, they are surely to response you. Another, an attracted avartar can help people remember and recognize you, those people who like you/your topic can reach your post easily and response. Of course, the basic is you got good discussions. Happy mylotting!

For me the avatar is irrelevant. It is the content of the discussion that is most important.

With your situation, i never look at the avatar.every time i see your discussion, i easily respond to it. almost all of your discussions are really interesting. helping other members of the site especially the newbie. keep up the good work!

Hi Diana, whenever I think of you, it is your avatar that comes on my mind.:) Same with rberon and his dumb bells.:) I think selection of an avatar indicates the persanlity of the owner. You seem to be saying "Ah! Let me see what the codebook has to say about this", and rberon "huff puff huff puff - someday I will also look like a grown up".

Yeah you right that the quality of a discussion comes in first but what I meant about the avatars is kind of how people always say that your eyes notice the color red faster than any other color. Well something like that. So I was sort of making a similar comparison.

Yes, the quality of the discussion is really important. Your animated and beautiful avatar will be useless if you always have useless discussion. We should always make it sure that the discussion that we make helps other people in their life and in their concern as well.

That is right, the avatar should not be the basis in responding to the discussion. it is very important that we look into the quality of the post on how does that discussion helps other member. you are also right in saying that there are some ugly avatars but the discussions are really quality one.

Thats really true. I am getting bored now to see my avatar. But I doubt whether I get good responses or not... But my friends are good and they keep my discussions hot and I know they like my discussions. I too now thought of changing my avatar in yellow...

After a few months,I have notice that my privacy is now being invaded,I decided it to change it with a baby. I used for almost 5 months. Then, after a while, I find it very boring and decided to change it with an animated smiley. But I don't think so it attracts responder to my discussion. I got lot of responses, it is because most of my discussions are interesting.lol!am i right?
