 For her behavior in the semifinal match at the U. S. Open, Serena Williams should have been immediately suspended, no doubles finals allowed the later, and fined at least the amount she won in the tournament. Instead she got a slap on the wrist and a lot of free publicity for her book. She is always so calculating, she probably did it to get the publicity for her book and either didn't realize it would cost her the match right then and there or knew that Clisjters was going to win since Clisjters had been beating her soundly and so decided to go for the publicity.

She raised her racket at that woman who called the foot fault, incorrectly, I might add, they played the tape back and Serena did not make a foot fault. She was agitated because, as you say she was being beaten throughout the match. This was the problem, Kim had already won, Serena lost her temper and her cool, she let the worse came out, and I am really of the mind set that she should be suspended for at least one month, and pay a bigger fine. Her behavior should not be tolerated. She is the number one payer in the world an she should be a role model for the younger women. Her actions were gross.

Also, Serena had already had several foot fault calls by other lines people during the U. S. Open. In any case as you say she should have been suspended and, in my opinion immediately and for longer than a month. | |

I saw a bit of the recap of her outburst online on YouTube and was shocked to see her outrageous display of anger. In any case, I’m glad Clisjters won.
