Friends Are they OR Aren't They???

I have a lot of friends that i have known for like 20 years or longer..I met a lot of friends when i was going to church a long time ago & we are still friends..Then i have some very good friends that i have made since i have been living in this apartment, that i know will be friends forever...I have been very blessed with good friends....I do have friends on the internet, but i have really never met them but we just talk on discussions...I have shopping friends, coffee friends & friends that i spend the night with and they also come & spend the night with me.....I love friends & some od us are very close....

My oldest friend I have known since we were seven Lori - that's 44 years! However, we can go years and not see each other, but I'd say that he was "close". My Best Man I have known for 26 years and we are still close. I also have a couple of good friends here in town that I met when we moved here in 1992. However, when it comes to the inner P1ke - I guess the truth is that outside of the Boss, the people that know me best, at least on an emtional level, are quite possibly folk that I have met through myLot. I have met some - 5 to date, and hope to meet more. I'd like to think that a few will be long term friends and even though we are continents apart, I never doubt that perhaps one day we will meet in person.

In real my life there are 3-4 friends who are with me for say last 20 years or so. They are my school and college friends and we do keep in touch with each other. I do not forget to wish them on their birthdays and marriage anniversary and keep sending them SMSs and if we cannot meet, I talk to them on telephone. It is great feeling to remain in touch with old friends. My on-line journey is relatively shorter. I’ve been working on-line for the past 3 years only. While working on mylot, I have made some very good friends and I have their email Ids and in few cases I have their telephone numbers with me. We keep in touch through mails/PMs etc., besides participating in each other’s discussions. However, I have not got any opportunity to meet any mylot friend in person so far, though I have spoken to them, I’ve their photographs and can recognize them with their voices and photos, if we happen to meet one day. I would love to meet mylot friends, as and when any opportunity arises. It is nice to know that you would meet Rex and some other mylotters in person; hopefully, it would be a memorable experience for you. All the best.

i have some friends from way back elementary days. i have one who is currently working somewhere in the middle east. we constantly chatting through the internet. we met again for over 10 years of not seeing in other, about 2 years ago, when we both visited our place in the province.

with some members, i have no other whom i met personally, aside from my co-workers. but we known each others only for some about 2 or 3 years.

This really is exciting. I know as I have met up with sparks and her hubby. I hope you all have a great time and you must tell us about it and take lots of pictures.

As for friends. I can count on one hand the ones I've had since high school. I hardly hear from them, even when I write to them and send Christmas cards I don't get any response. Once in a blue moon though I'll get a phone call from them.

My friends here and elsewhere on the net are different though. We keep in touch, by email, our sites and some by phone. I've even met several of them.

My best friend of all time has been my friend thru thick and thin for over 40 years. You can't beat that. I have other friends that I've had as long but we aren't as close. Other friends are good but they come and go quite naturally as if they are only meant to be with us for a short time. I have friends here on mylot that are as real as if I've met them in person. That is awesome that you are meeting some of us in person! You'll have to let us all know how it all went!

There are still several friends friends of mine who i made friends with 5 or more years ago.I think true real life friends will not change especially some school friends.If we help each other,we do not hope for reward.

Offline, I'm not good at making friends cause I'm shy and need time to get to know someone before I decide if I want to be their friend or not. I've had 2 close friends over the years and they both drifted off on me. Sad but I'm not gonna go chasing them around the States. I have a good friend online that I talk to alot both on phone and thru email/messengar and that I actually met in person. I have a former mylot friend whom I've also met offline. She's gone by the wayside cause of the trolls here. I have other good friends here as well and just might be meeting one of them next month in WI. Wish I could meet all my friends here but, unless one of us gets on a plane or boat, I'll never meet some of them.

I have one friend that I have had for about 18 years, one for about 27 years and one for 37 years. They are bery good friends. The one I have known for 27 years is actually my best friend but she has a man in her life so she can not even use the phone is he is there but I still talk to her IF he happens to be working. I never met him.

I think it is always good to have friends. On internet we must be careful because it is not clear whether they are talking real or not and anybody can utilize others. But if there are close friend also though from internet, it is always good. frinds are always been necessary part of our life. thank you.
