EUTHANASIA or MERCY KILLING... where do you stand?

personally i do not support mercy killing,here in the Philippines we do not practice that it is violation of human rights.but in the other countries they practice this.i am in the medical field but i am not in favor of euthanasia i just want to make possible person live.only GODS is the only one will took our lives not us or other people will do that.

I think euthanasia would be (if completely legalised worldwide) a difficult thing to monitor, as there may be the relatives of some terminally ill and in terrible pain people who want them out of the way so they can have the inheritance or similar, but at the same time, I feel that to prolong the suffering of a loved one who may wish to die in a dignified manner and end what might be an intolerable quality of life for that person, is inhumane. That's a long-winded way of saying that I am in agreement with euthanasia under certain and strictly controlled/observed circumstances.

I'm in favor of it especially if the person is living because of life support system. These are people who are in coma and are technically brain dead and have no chance of gaining consciousness and if ever they'll just end up paralyzed and will be more of a burden to their family not only financially but emotionally as well. This time the medical practitioners are already enlightened on the issue of mercy killing. Because of the the recent discovery that a person may suffer of comma but actually may be fully aware the lawmakers are considering the abolition of mercy killing. People may not fully respond physically but the evidence of the recent discovery says that people may be imprisoned in their own bodies.

I'm a supporter of euthanasia.
When a person is in the verge of suffering, and has taken a decision about finishing his or her life, that person is the main owner of his or her life, so the decision should be only from that person.
If that person needed to finish with all and needed my help, I would probably help, as is that person's last wish, and I think a last wish is something respectful.
I don't believe on letting that person go on with the suffering in a hospital bed just because "some people think it's wrong". You decide with you life, and if I ever had to make that decision with my own life, I'd like to be helped too.
