Do you feel bad when you kill a bug?  | |  Bugs are pests I do have to admit that. They can get annoying buzzing around you. Did you ever stop to think that bugs have feelings too and that maybe we swatted at them or killed them for no reason. Bugs do have lives and all have a purpose here on earth. I don't like them but sometimes I do feel bad about killing them even though they did nothing to me. Sometimes I stop and think about it. If they did nothing to me why did it deserve to die? I do have feelings for all animals and creatures. I wish I did not think about these kinds of things and let them get to my head. If a bee stung me I would find reason for it to be killed but if I killed out of spite I would feel kind of bad about it.

| | 2.  AniruS (157) | 4 months ago |  I do not feel bad at all when I kill a bug. They are annoying. Also I do not think that bugs have any useful purpose on earth. The only purpose that I know of is that they become food to some other creatures. But then there are so many bugs around that killing few bugs will not deplete the food reserves of these animals.

| | | 4. lumenmom (868) | 4 months ago |  Lately I have been more conscious of treating all life as precious, that includes bugs. For the most part I do not kill them intentionally anymore. I will say I am not perfect and still do not have a tolerance for such pests as roaches, waterbugs or bedbugs. I have yet to find a humane way of dealing with them so they still may get squashed by me until I find better solutions. I know I am getting better because there was a spider near me today which makes em very nervous. Instinctively I wanted to kil it but my daughter talked me out of it. I just ignored it till it moved out of my sight. I try my best not to step on ants or other insects (except the ones I mentioned above) whereas in the past it did not bother me. I even try not to kill bees and wasps though I am nervous about their sting.
