Oh, it's quite a real thing. Women are not weak. The problem lies in how women are generally raised. We are taught from early on to never, NEVER be rude. It's rude to do this, to do that, it's selfish to do this or that. One of those rules is to not make demands, to not tell another person what to do. This affects how we talk.

My husband and I used to have tons of issues every time we went on long drives. I'm female, and like a lot of females, I have to go to the bathroom frequently. He doesn't. So a 3 hour drive is nothing to him, it's a torture session to me. I never even considered saying, "Pull over at the next gas station, I have to go to the bathroom." The 'considerate' thing to say is, "Do you have to go to the bathroom?" Well, of course he didn't!!

I thought he was being a selfish oaf. It never occurred to me how I was phrasing it. It never occurred to him I was saying I wanted to go. I didn't say it straight out because that would be 'rude' or 'uncouth.'

He's the one who finally asked straight out why I got so pissy about him not having to go to the bathroom. Totally different way of speaking. Now I'm a lot more direct and it did wonders for our marriage. But it just doesn't occur to women how they're phrasing things. It's natural to us, it's what we were taught.

It has nothing to do with gossip. That's just talking about others behind their back. And men do it too!! I've seen my hubs get caught by other guys who tell him EVERYTHING about everything. I don't complain, cause then he can't say anything about it happening to me. I mean, how are you supposed to tell the person across from you to just shut up, you're not interested? With females, they refuse to hear it. (I know, I've tried. Now I just shut up and make soothing sounds. It gets over with faster) His sisters are horrid that way. They trap me constantly. There's a reason I refuse to answer the phone anymore!!

I hate it when people say he said she said cause it is just annoying. People need to learn to mind there own business when it comes to other peoples lives!
