Does she remember?

Oh, my cat is so sweet...I feel thankful that I found her-and i'd like to think she's thankful of me too:) She was defeniatly worth the time and effort it took to nurse her back to health. Me and her defeniatly have a closer bond than she does with anyone else in my family--since I'm the one that found her and spent all my time with her while she was getting healthier.

She is a very cuddly sleeper, has been since I got her, and one of my first days with her--I woke up in the morning and her little body was stretched across my neck, she was sleeping:P Awww hehe.

Based on your response, I'm guessing your cat has passed on? If I'm right, I'm sorry!:( I know how horrible it is too lose a pet. I'm glad cats can live as long as 20+ years!

Everyone wants my cat too! hehe They say how beautiful she is, and sweet too.:D I feel lucky to have her and I'd never give her away or sell her!

Yeah, animals are good at that...living in the moment and not letting anything that is currently happening bother them:) That's oen of the good things about them! I just can't imagine how much a sweet, small cat could have survived out in the wild alone for as long as she did (I know it had to be for a long time because she was in such bad shape). But I'm happy I found her!:)

Wow, it's surprising a cat was so trusting that it would let you bring it in and out of your house like that.:) That's a great little story!
My cat doesn't like being outside either, and when I carry her outside she really cuddles against me and doesn't try to get out of my arms. I know she remembers being outside, and she clearly hated it!

YES! Halloween is a bad time for pets, dogs and cats! So many awful stories.

Yeah! That's a good point!! Animals from abusive situations never forget it! They're always afraid of something because of what they went through. We had a dog that was abused as a puppy before we got her...she was afraid of EVERYTHING--the vaccum, doors, mops, etc...anything! But she was always happy with us:) She must have been able to tell the difference between her past life (which she obviously remembered) and her life with us.

I wonder how one could explain my Kissy. She's NEVER been an outdoor cat, yet the slightest rumble of thunder and she hides in my closet.

Scamp was afraid of everything after he got about 4 months old, before that he was pretty bullet proof, now he's still timid, but not as bad as he was at a year when I brought him home

When my friend died, I wondered if her cats that came home with me would remember her smell, but they didn't seem to react at all after a few months...

I know some people worry about adopting previosuly abused pets because they are more likely to bite in defense, but that doesn't stop me. I want to get the most hurt ones and make them feel good about life again.
We had a dog named Mocha, we got her when she was a puppy--and she was abused before we got her. SO she was abused when she was just months old:( But she was the sweetest dog EVER. She was scared of everything (vacuum, doors, fans, etc) but she never showed fear towards any of us, and she never got aggressive in any way. I don't ever remember her even growling! She was a good girl.

I know how it feels to have to get rid of cats, if it had been my choice we wouldn't have but I still had to go through it. It really sucks and I understand how you feel.

Awww!!! Well....no hubby for me on November 2004...Fifteen is a bit young to be married:P lol. But I will defeniatly settle for my cat(for now!) lol.
