TORMENTED by FaceBook Bullies......

omg! that is so awful! This isnt the first time someone has done something like this because of people over the internet! Remember that boy who killed himself on a webcam while I ton of people watched and CHEERED HIM ON!!!

People are really sick, and I don't know how they can be so cruel. Maybe they don't think it would result in something so bad--but that is still no excuse.

If people were cyber-bullying me I would just ignore them. i have so many people in my life who are good to me, any negative comments from people over the internet wouldn't bother me

What a tragedy! I have an almost eight year old daughter and bullying of any kind being cyber or at school is my biggest fear for her. It’s bad enough that she has a passive nature and one of her ‘friends’ is already bossing her around but to have people gang up on you like that...How sad and lonely this poor girl must have felt! She must have lived everyday with stress and anxiety...How terribly sad...And the cars that hit her, the drivers’ lives are affected forever!

I’ve spoken to my daughter’s friend’s mother already about the bossy behaviour, I am ever so vigilant of bullying, it’s a horrible way for a young person to go through life!

This is so sad. What I don't understand is if bullys were doing this crap to her online, why didn't she just cancel her account at facebook? Why didn't her parents know about the facebook account and what was happening there before the girl died? Many questions unanswered.

This wouldn't happen to my child cause I won't let her get a social network account. My daughter, however, has had bullying issues at her school and I gave her all the advice I could but it was she who had to do something to stop the bullying. She did alright. 2 of the girls were sporting lots of bruises and 2 blackeyes when my daughter was done with them. Guess those karate classes really paid off.

She should have just cancelled her account & got off of facebook....Its a horrrible person that would continue to torment a person, but if you do not like the torment you can get off of facebook....You could change your e-mail address..There are a lot more options other than killing yourself, or being tormented to death by an evil person...

She is actually the daughter of a friend of mine so I'm not saying much except that there is far more to the story than what was in the paper.
Haven't seen any national press stories as it has been on the front page of my local paper for the last couple of days and they used a really bad picture which made Holly look mental and upset everyone.

Well, if she hadn't accepted them as "friends" on Facebook on the first place, they wouldn't have been able to post abusive comments on her wall. And even if she accepted them before it started, she could always have deleted them from her friendslist to stop them abusing her on her wall.

How horrible. I would have to comfront the bullies & their parents. I have never been able to tolerate a bully. Thank heavens my sons were never bullied to that extreme.We had a few episodes because as long as time has been there have been bullies. i think it's passed down from their parents who are probably bullies themselves. It should have been nipped in the bud the first ugly message she got. Folks stand up & fight for your kids!!!!

Tragically bullying has always been with us and I suspect always will be. Wherever there are people there will be bullying. We even see it on here in the shape of our "Trolls" - and they aren't children so don't have that as a (poor) excuse. For me, if anything like that happened on my Facebook account, or I saw it on my child's I would quickly be deleting and reporting the culprit. To the police if necessary. This is an awful story that happened not that far from where I live. It just makes you wonder what sort of people are out there.

This is one of the worst cases of death i have seen, cyber bullying, frankly it is the first time i am hearing this term... it's such a tragic thing to happen to someone, how sad, i feel so sorry for her, i bet she was a nice person... it has always got to be the nice sensitive people who get abused by others just for the sake of having fun irritating and bullying over people, how sad... i have real anger on people who do such things... i have always hated bullys, i have always been the quiet one when i was in school and i have seen how they can bully, bullying in a group is the worst case... i was a silent one but i wasn't afraid of the bullies, i just hated them so much.. but i can understand her case, she kept it all to herself and maybe she didn't have some real close friends to help her control her feelings, she probably didn't tell anyone coz she must have felt really bad about it... it is really hard to keep such feelings inside oneself and that is why she took such an extreme decision.. people must be considerate enough to understand what is going on inside the person, some people can handle such situations and some can't, it shows how mean can people be ... it's so ridiculous, shame on such people!
