Best Buy is offering the iPhone 3G models with 8GB and 16GB of memory for $99 and $199, respectively. Any guesses on the term of your service plan? Did you answer 2 years? If so, you are correct-2 years is standard for a service contract these days.

| |  so it depends for the new iphone 3g s in italy is really expensive..in fact you can pay 730 euro if you want it without a contract by some operators and if you take it with 2 years contract it depends from the contract so you can pay 150 or more euro depending from how much you will spend monthly as fixed price!!
In my opinion is too much expensive..for just a normal phone!!

But if buy from what we call a black market (a cell shop that import their own product) is cheaper by 20% to 20%.

| |  I think here in the US it is $100, but I am not with AT&T, so I don't really check the prices on it. It is a nice looking phone though. I have th ipod touch which is just like the iphone but you can't talk on it. That is as close to the iphone as I am going to get.  My daugher lives with a family that has an iphone, and she said it is lots of fun to use, and she spends a lot of time on the internet with it. My phone has the internet as well, and I don't use that all that much, but I do use the other features on the phone. If I were with AT&T, I would have the iphone. All I can do is look at it from a distance.  Anyway, I do enjoy my phone, and it is the best one I have had. Take care, and happy mylotting.

here the retail model with a connection from Vodafone
the 8gb costs about Rs.30000 thats abt 600$
and the 16gb is for about 750$
damn d iphone is a ripoff in india damn expensive
but still people buy it

like if one has to purchase the lowest of mercedes benz the custom duty is like abt 120%
on electronics its lesser than 120% but its still high
