 AC Milan are weighing up handing striker Pippo Inzaghi a new contract.The 36 year-
old is again amongst the goals for the Rossoneri and management are now consider
ing offering him a new two-year contract extension. Inzaghi hopes to follow in the
footsteps of Milan captain Paolo Maldini, who retired in the summer at the age of 40.

I mean, even if they buy other younger good strikers, his presence at the team training sessions is constructive, as the younger players have a lot to learn from him, and his presence on the bench is reassuring in the eventuality of an injury.

Filippo Inzaghi still the core for AC Milan goal getter. Eventhough he is not as fast as before due to his age, he still can contribute a lot of goals for AC Milan. AC Milan might have brought Klaas-Jan Huntelaar but he need to get gel with others before he can play his true color. Pato still to young to be burden with a sole goal getter responsibility.
But it is hard to see Filippo Inzaghi go until the age of 40. It is not impossible as Roger Milla score in World Cup at that age but it is too demanding. Paolo Maldini can last longer because he is a defender and don't have to run a lot. As a striker, Filippo Inzaghi need a lot of energy to be competitive.
