1. patofgold23 (1684) | 3 months ago | hi there satan...
it took me long to finally be out of school too...
I tooke a business management course (which is 4 years...) but was able to graduate in 3 years...
I overloaded my time with units... talk to the dean to allow me to do that...
since I am a dean's lister (sort of A student), she allowed...
after that I took a 6-month associate in health science course...and graduated...
after that I enrolled in Nursing(another 4 year course) and graduated in 3 years time....
that's about 6 and 1/2 years for 3 couses....
...and now i look back at all the time i spent in school....
and even if anybody pays me..i'm not going back to school anymroe.

2. forptc (205) | 3 months ago | I don't know if you will find it funny or disturbing, but it took me nine and a half years to finish college. Well, seven and a half in total being in school. Two years out of school. I just wasn't much into studying then, where I kind of prioritized extra curricular activities like theater and work. I worked part time in a computer shop from which I was taking my extra spending money. I got into theater productions outside school which didn't pay well but it was okay for providing a little more extra cash. Earning your own money really distracts you from studying, big time. So after five and a half years since getting into college, I took a breather and turned my part time jobs into full time. After two years, I decided to get done with my studies because I realized it would make finding a job easier (for which I'm mistaken as evident with my current status - unemployed and broke!) and I never wanted to leave any business unfinished so I got it all done in two years, just as I forecast. No regrets though, I learned quite a lot and met people which I might not have learned and might not have met if ever I became a straight A student. It's all cool, and finding a job will come in its own time...hopefully.

satan88 (746) | 3 months ago | hi, that's a great way of thinking about things. everybody should get things done in there own time. there's no need to rush because you'll just get more stressed that way. there's no better way to meet varied and interesting people than being in college and that's an important thing to do in life.
| |
|
|
forptc (205) | 3 months ago | Right you are. What's the use of stressing yourself on things you aren't even sure you'll get the most of? Better enjoy life and have patience because everything happens for a reason, or do not happen for certain reasons. Though we'd still have to take action if we want something, that way our chances of acquiring those things are a lot greater than doing nothing at all. It's okay to take it easy, but not too easy. We don't get anything if we don't work for us to have them.

3. sysdexlicwriter (1139) | 3 months ago | I know of a friend who will be graduating after ten years of college. Of course, this person underwent brain surgery in the middle of the college years which slowed the process of completing classes. It will be a wonderful day when they complete their studies because it means much more than just the usual attending of a college and graduating. It was a real uphill struggle that is almost complete and a new phase of life will begin!

satan88 (746) | 3 months ago | hey congratulations to your friend for finally reaching the top.:) It really puts things in perspective for me. it makes me want to work harder to earn my education that isn't allways available to all. it's a privilege i guess and it should be earned through hard work.

4. Tantrums (946) | 3 months ago | I did not finish college, as I was hired right away after OJT in one big broadcasting company! My course was a four year course, But I manage to take all subjects in two years and six months, it's like I only have 4 "useless" subjects left.

satan88 (746) | 3 months ago | hey your lucky tantrum many people want to be hired before they graduate. for me though i'd probably choose to stay for the experience of college life. but i'd love to get hired before i graduate though i'd try to finish later on.

5. Graceekwenx (537) | 3 months ago | i had 5 years of Medical Technology. And i wouldnt even be embarrassed to say that i flunked 3 subjects. Man it was so hard despite all those studies! I had been crying in vain, been all sleepless and still flunked it??!!
I passed the board and had flying colors. Man it has to be worth it!
Right now, i work as a medical claims analyst. It is so far from the course that ive taken but it sure is an advantage because i am knowledgeable in medical science.

satan88 (746) | 3 months ago | hi grace, it's okay about flunking 3 courses i myself have flunked four though i'm not particularly proud of it. most people have degrees they don't really use later on it's good that your career is related at least.

8. much2say (606) | 3 months ago | I went to a 4 year college and I graduated in 4 years! I took all the summer courses I could, every single year . . . so actually I could have graduated in 3-1/2 years if I wanted to. I wanted to stay on for the graduation ceremonies and keep in good contact with friends, so I stuck around. I took the last semester to take some fun classes that I've been wanting to take - so it was a good way to end college!

satan88 (746) | 3 months ago | oo your lucky i have so many classes i want to take for fun and just relax and enjoy life before i'm released in to the unforgiving working world but unfortunaltye i've procrasitinated for too long.

|
|
much2say (606) | 3 months ago | I took all the tough courses (full time) when I first started college with the thinking that I could just get them out of the way. Well, that was soooo tough and although I passed, I didn't get the best grades in those classes (did I realy learn anything?). So near the end of my college years, the payoff was that I could relax a bit, which was great!

| 10. volleyball15 (55) | 2 months ago | I guess "college" depends on which type of degree you are persuing. Right now, I've been in college for three years. I have my AA and a year done in my radiation therapy program through the hospital. I have a year of clinical rotations left, then (cross your fingers) if all goes well and I pass my boards I will have my AA in general science and my degree of certification to administer radiation therapy. That will be four years for those two degrees but after I graduate this program I'll be entering into a one year certificate through the hospital for sonograms. Then when I am done with that I plan to just wrap it all up and get my bachelor's of health. So when all is said and Done, I should probably be in college for about 7 years. Will it be worth it? Well i guess I will have to wait and see:) As of right now, I am very stressed, very busy, and my ambition for each day is to get at least 90 minutes of sleep at night time.
