Getting a good cheap desktop or laptop?

If you're lookig for a good yet fairly cheap computer/laptop I have two suggestions. The first is to buy a computer brand new at a place like Dell or Gateway and have it "custom built" to suit your needs. You can chat or call a Dell expert and you can tell him/her exactly what you want so you don't have to pay for the programs you don't want. Dell always has a lot of sales going on so there's a good chance you'll find one that will suit your budget.

My second suggestion is to look into buying a refurbished laptop. A refurbished laptop might not be exactly tailored to fit your needs, but if you do a little research you're very likely to come pretty close. Dell has a section where you can purchase refurbished laptops. E-bay also has refurbished laptops. I recently bought a refurbished laptop from E-Bay for $230 and I love it.

I'm sure if you do your research and comparison shop, you will find the right computer for you at an affordable price.

Honestly, I don't get any cheap computer lately. I bought a couple of computers from the stores, but they aren't cheap in my consideration. As matter of fact, I think that I wasted my money on those old model computer too. Some of them I converted them to Linux running operating system, and hopefully they would work smoothly. What my purpose using those computers? downloading, and for something else.

The price for a computer/laptop nowadays became cheap if compared to past time. But if you want a good fairly cheap computer/laptop, i suggest buy a second hand from your friends. i think your friends sure will sell the extra computer/laptop that he/she had. I have bought a computer from my friends too. It was good and all function well.

Getting a computer (PC) or laptop at cheap rates is very eay in these days.
Please have a look on DELL advertisements.
They are offering desktop and laptops at cheap rates. However branded pc will not be good as the one which is multi-branded.
When you look for buying a desktop-PC, preferring multi-branded pc are best.

But for laptops branded is the best.
If you are looking for laptop which don't have look(style), but it is good in configuration please prefer to buy Compaq laptops.
Looking for look and features then Dell and HP are best.
Looking for style with great performance then Apple book.
Looking for style alone and not bothering about features than Sony vaio.

I will say that nowadays, computers and laptops are a lot more cheaper and affordable than in the past 5 years.

Anyway, from your description, I guess it will be better for you to get a desktop than a laptop. I will recommend that you try to DIY your own desktop. You can purchase the different computer parts (in accordance to your budget), and assemble them together. You can try looking around for the different parts at your local computer stores, or online. To save money, you may want to consider getting some second hand parts such as the computer monitors.

If you're looking for a cheap laptop with good specification,
i suggest you to check out some of Compaq products
They're fairly cheap. Try looking for laptops with AMD processor
cause they're usually cheap enough to combine with great graphic
cards either Nvidia or ATI
