why are my shoes chipping? | | i have bought many shoes and some of them i have not worn for a very long time since i bought it only for attending weddings which needs formal attire. however, i noticed yesterday that those shoes which are kept for a very long time are chipping away. its sides and straps are chipping and i can't use it anymore. how can i prevent that from happening? i really find those shoes to be a big waste since it's so beautiful.

So in my opinion, maybe you wear on your shoes sometimes, and keep them in the place not too cold or too warm - temperature too high or too low are harmful for such products. Hope it will be useful for you.

It's probably because they haven't been worn for SO long that they've "forgotten" how to be worn, if you get my drift. Like, because they weren't broken in while they were new, when you try and break them in again, they just...break. xD And also, as with what everyone above me has said, don't buy painted shoes because the paint comes off and then it just looks tacky and cheap.

| sharmsnow (15) | 3 months ago | I think it should be open. I mean a shoe cabinet keeps the shoe inside unexposed to air. Try putting your shoe in an open space like mine. If you should wear it then just dust it off.
