NCIS had a very good season premiere show

Isn't it amazing that show that has been on the air this long (is it six years know?) set record ratings for themselves? My mom was one of the 20 million people who watched it last night. By the way, she doesn't have a Nielson box, nor do any people I know, so how the heck do they come up with these numbers? Anyway, my dad went to a revival last night, so he missed it. But he loves that show too. I bought the first season of it for them one year for Christmas, and after that they were hooked. Back then Ziva wasn't even on the show. And can you believe she is from Chile? She makes it really seem that she is Isreali.

I didn't catch the whole episode, but I did catch the last half, like leaving you wondering for a while if McGee was dead or not... Ziva can be such a fatalist - sometimes I just want to slap her...

HI Stealthy: I finally got to see it yesterday I have loved and watched
this show since its first season;

I know what you mean by too much talking from Tony, but in a way I guess
that was part of the truth drug serum you know? Giving his team time I guess
to maybe get where they needed to be who knows? Or to catch us all up on as to
how and why he was where he was at;

I had the very same thoughts as you, when Gibbs made that shot which appeared
to be very far off, and then suddenly in the blink of an eye he was there
oh well its only tv I guess but none the less it all worked out in the End;

I do hope that Tony and Ziva get back on track with their friendship and take it one
step further this season;

All in all it was a great season show did you watch the NCIS Los Angeles??

I'm a new convert--my mom loves the show and I tuned in about 4 months ago as I was recovering from an appendectomy. Of course, I had to catch up on all the previous episodes! Luckily, it was rerunning on USA and I have a TiVO so I think I'm almost there.

Being so new to it, I recently watched a rerun that stated Gibbs was one of the best snipers until his eyes went bad. Which puzzled me as to how he could make that long distance shot! Well, they don't call it "suspension of disbelief" for nothing! It's just a humorous comment, not meant to wrack anyone's brain.

I love that show. I started watching because of McCallum but Mark Harmon has turned into a really good actor.

I love Michael Weatherly (aka Tony) so having the whole show revolving around him made my night. I had read that Pauley said that Michael would really be showing off his acting skills and she was right.

I think the narration was due to the fact, as someone said earlier, that he was shot up with truth serum. Plus they wanted everyone to know what had been going on the past few months and since Tony cares a lot about Ziva (and was probably feeling guilty about her "death" like he did with Jenny) who better to tell the story. I loved his descriptions of his co-workers, especially McGee and Gibbs.

As far as Gibbs getting there so quickly, I wondered about that too. But I was reading someone's comment on youtube and this made sense to me. Tony was in an altered state. Everyone knows how Tony idolizes Gibbs. The way he made it sound like Gibbs just walked in and overpowered that one guy when both he and McGee were having so much trouble. He thinks that Gibbs is like Superman, Batman and all the other heroes rolled into one. And Tony is the only one who never doubts that Gibbs is right about anything....except that time he got pissed off because he and Ziva had been played in the "war games."

With Tony idolizing Gibbs that much and being in an altered state, maybe we were seeing things as he saw them. As that person stated, maybe Gibbs didn't get down there that quickly or things didn't happen so fast and that is why he was there when they rounded the corner. Or the shot may not have been as far away, but to Tony that's how long it was. Just a thought that someone put out there that I could totally see happening.
