How often do you get a new cell phone?

I've had my current one for about a year. Usually after that point, I'm so bored with it that I feel like I HAVE to get a new phone, or I feel obligated to because I've broken something or something's not working quite right (and my warranty by that time has run out). It usually ends up being a yearly thing for me, for some reason.

Mine is every 12-months. For resale value issues, I don't let the phone stay with me on more than 1 year. Most of the time, I sell the phone-at-hand to my friends/relatives, then buy a new one.=)

Well my phone broke after 2 years when the contract was up so i had to get a new one. The one I have now is nice and would keep it if it had a nicer browser.

Cell phone for me only to make call phone and receive call phone. so, I am no need to upgrade my cell phone. I use old cell phone now . After my cell phone broken, I will buy new one. That is more than 5 years, in 2 years I change only the battery

Hi themdno.Well even I liked to do so.But after getting a computer I am no more interested in my cellphone.On fact the one I am using right now is a very basic model with basic features though I jut bought it two months back.I am more interested in my computer and getting it upgraded.I just updated it three months ago by gettting a new hard drive of 500GB capacity..

I buy cell phone every year, but don't ditch the old one.. am thinking of getting a new cell soon but really like the current cell.. i totally have 6 cell phones..

Upgrade in a sense change parts or go in for a new one...?! But as per your discussion it says in that you feel jealous about people going in for new phones and that means that you wanted to go in for a new phone.

There are phones that are good and if one is not an electronic geek then he can stick in with the same one but on the contrary if one feels that he has to be up to date with the latest version of mobiles and electronically sound then they are inclined to some what make this as an hobby of changing phones. In the same way some people feel that they are happy with their same old phone and a phone is a phone and it is meant to talk in terms of emergency and to the point in spite of making long calls and wasting money over the phone one can pass on the message if it is too urgent and can all the individual to come personally and speak face to face...smiles...thanx

Now, the cell phone have many features. Everyone like to have the newest features, but how often do you get a new cell phone? I think get a new cell phone not necessary gain the newest features. It should conside for your need.

I will use a phone until if gives up on me. My cell is currently 6 years old. It has fallen several times but still works perfectly. My husband gave it to me in 2003. Expensive at that time but it had already everythng - text messaging, email, camera (picture quality though is not so good), voice/video recorder, etc. I don't use all the functions hence, I don't see why I need to buy a new one as it still works well.

I never have a brand new cellphone always. I had my brand new cellphone just bought last year. cellphones prices today are high so i cannot afford to have a new cellphone always. It would take three years for me to buy a new one until my old cellphone needs to be replaced.
