Can I have a cat with a infant?

Well, cats are generally laid back animals. Meaning that they will only mind you if they are hungry or want to play. Otherwise, they have their own world and fight their own imaginary monsters. You might need to ask your pediatrician though, just in case your daughter may have allergies and having a cat means cat dander. But cats aren't hard to care for.

I would say it would be fine for you to adopt a cat now. Cats are generally not aggressive towards babys and infants, as long as nothing that harms them is done accidently by the baby (pulling of the tail, for example).

I would recommend you get a short haired cat rather than long haired, I just don't think you would want a ton of long stringy hair getting in your baby's face hehe. '

And you can check with your local shelter if they already have any cats that they know do well with babies, they usually have that information on the animals:)

you shouldn't have any problems at all. sometimes, although very rarely, you can when it's the other way round and your pet becomes jealous of the attention the new arrival is getting. that said my parents had cats before i was born. no problems. same for all the other people that have pets before they had children. and afterwards it should be absolutely fine.

I have a three month old daughter and two dogs. I grew up with pet cats. I think you could get a cat and your baby girl will then grow up a cat lover. Good luck if you do decide to get a pet cat. Cats are loving family pets.

What i dont like is it's hair, cat's hair is easily to fall and fly if the cat is not well taking care of

I have cats. I had three cats when my first son was born. When I had my twins we had two cats. I just keep the cats out of the bedrooms because since I have allergies i am sure they will develop them too.

I would wait because right now, with a baby, you're pretty busy. It's hard to take care of yourself, your baby, your home when the baby is so new.

I think your daughter will be delighted if there is a cat in the family. Both my daughters had cats before they had kids and all did wonderfully. Children raised with pets are much more compassionate. When she gets older, she can be responsible for caring for your cat. Congratulations on your baby and your new kitty.

First of all, congratulations to have a baby girl.

I am not sure whether it's ok or too early to have a cat when your daughter is only one month old. I just know that having cat or dog around during the pregnancy is not good for baby.

For myself, i would wait for few years and let my son have a pet, i prefer puppy.
