How many times did your XBOX 360 get the RING OF DEATH?  

Wow 6 360's?

Did you pay for all of them or was it a refund kind of situation?

Thankfully I was able to refund each one. It just was a pain to have to do it. I was too stubborn to just call its quits

Well atleast you didnt spend hundreds of dollar like I did to finally get a decent Xbox 360.. sigh..

I swear every time I turn on my Xbox 360 I am praying to god to let me make it through the game that it doesnt freeze up or crash on me with the Ring Of Death.. lol

Do you have the orignial 360? When I first got the 360 I had the same problem as you in the beginning. Then later on it got worse and thats when I first got my ring of death then had to use my warranty to get it repaired.

I have noticed the older models have the most freeze up's when I read the xbox forums trying to get some more info on why it freezes up so much when I am playing games..

360 has good line of games, but just that the hardware is so weak is what annoys me because I am always enjoying the games that are on the 360 but the constant break downs and freezes is draining my wallet dry.. These days I have been mostly spending time on my ps3 to pass the time when I do end up playing games..

Hope that your freeze up problems go away and that you don't have to spend money to repair your 360 like I did.

I don't know if I have an old one, or not, I bought it about a year ago at Best Buy. I am looking at getting a ps3, but I heard the on-line sucks, and not many people are on. I do like the amount of games on the 360, and I do really like the on-line aspects of it, but if the ps3 is that without all of the problems, then sign me up.

I figured it would help having both systems because you get the best of both world.. Just incase one has problems, you can just move to another one and get your game on..

They both have there ups and downs for me.. So I just use both when ever I can.

I would recommend taking the cooler off.
all it does is use more of your PS and cause your xbox to Red Ring again

Yup, everyone who has owned a 360 has experienced alot of hardware problems.. I am not a fan of either but comparing the hardware systems, the ps3 has never gave me any errors and problems till this day.

Mine is just collecting dust these days.. I use to be very active when gears of war came out, but got bored with it these days. My friend has an elite version and says its facing the same problems as my original 360.. Just kind of frustrated I guess with microsoft because they have good games that I just want to play, but the hardware gives me so much problems I just want to @%$! (lol)

Been on my PS3 these days (NO IM NOT A FANBOY, DONT FLAME ME I JUST WANT TO GET ALONG!) waiting for Uncharted2 and Modern Warfare!! lol

I wouldn't put you down just because you have a ps3. lol. I can't wait for Modern warfare 2 either. I'm a Halo fan so I also have Halo 3:ODST. The first time I got the red ring of death, I turned on my 360 and wrapped it in 3 towels and left it on for 20 to 30 minutes. After that, I shut it off and turned it back on and it worked for a while but it eventually stopped. That trick didn't work the second time I got the red ring of death though.
