My husband has cyrosis of the liver and I was curious?

What is the best way to treat it and also how long do they expect people to live with he has alot of stomach pains with his and he ask the doctor and all they say is you have cirosis of the liver and they will not give him any information on it and I was hoping that sombody can help.
