How often do you eat leftovers? |
|
Once a week, twice a week, every other day? Never? If I make something like spagetti or a cassarole i am going to have left overs. My hubby takes leftovers to lunch but still I have more leftover. So usually about once a week we have leftovers. This week I made chicken catatori and home made beef stew. I made alot of it and its just the two of us so we had leftovers last night and again tonight. Tomorrow I can cook again, so how many times a week do you have leftovers? Or do you?

1. dawnald (9904) | 3 months ago | The answer is whenever I have leftovers. Usually I'm very clever at making just enough, but if there are leftovers, I am the one who eats them. Usually it's not more than once a week, but it just depends.

| 2. AmuletGirl (72) | 3 months ago | I don't usually eat leftovers. My mom is very keen on healthy food and living style and such, so she always prepares the food fresh. Even in the morning, before I go to school, she would prepare and cook my lunch early in the morning for me to take to school. Most other parents just prepare them the night before or just put some simple sandwiches in, but my mom is not like that. That's why I really love her, and I would definitely take up on her cause and try to always prepare my food fresh in the future.
But don't worry, that's just my crazy family, I'm sure most of the families have leftovers once in a while. I think it's totally normal.

4. stealthy (2940) | 3 months ago | Very often because I usually only really cook only on Sundays and then eat leftovers from that the rest of the week. Actually I don't ever cook a main course on most Sundays but mix up salmon with miracle whip and eat that for the rest of the week, but sometimes I will bake chicken and have that. I fill in the gaps with frozen dinners.

6. tbmorris1 (143) | 3 months ago | Whether or not we have a lot of left overs depends on what kind of week we're having. For example, this past week was all preparation for my daughter's 2nd birthday party(yesterday). We didn't have much time at home, so we were eating out a lot. Not many left overs for my husband, but that made for left overs for me because I don't eat as much! I had two plates of left overs and just finished them today. We have some left overs from the party food, maybe a few days worth, so there shouldn't need to be any eating out for a while!!
We have quick one person meals(Lean Cuisines and such) that we microwave on "fend for yourself" nights lol. On nights that I cook, which I prefer to takeout, we usually end up with another meal or two of leftovers! Most of the time, he will take some to work and my daughter and I share the rest!

7. snowy22315 (8122) | 3 months ago | I actually don't eat them that often because I really don't enjoy eating them that much. There are things that I like to eat when they are fresh but I don't enjoy eating leftovers all that much. Sometimes I admit, I will feed them to the dog. It might not be the best thing to do, but he likes them and it gets rid of them.

| 8. Princebux (70) | 3 months ago | Well at my family it happens almost everyday. Usually my mom or my mother in law will cook a massive dish for dinner and the left overs will be eaten by us for lunch at works or school. I am mostly eating asian food. and believe it or not some leftovers have better taste than a fresh one LOL

9. highflyingxangel (9005) | 3 months ago | I'd say on average, once a week we dig back into leftovers. We don't always have leftovers to eat. We usually fix about the right amount to feed just the both of us. However, sometimes we do fix a little more than we had planned so we do have leftovers. I try to scour the fridge several times a week to think about how we can throw all of the items together to make another meal out of them. Sometimes I'm successful, sometimes I am not.

10. jodylee_04530 (512) | 3 months ago | I eat leftovers about twice a week. I try not to make too much when I cook but I do have enough for lunch the next day. I like leftovers because it is fun to get creative... chicken and potatoes and carrot/pea mix one night. Then make a chicken pie. I enjoy cooking a lot and love to make home cooked meals.
BTW- I made a beef stew yesterday in the crockpot and added some apples with sugar, cinnamon and cloves. The apples cooked off but the sugar mix really made the stew tasty.
