pointless text messages

well i think i may have sent you one or 2 helen but not so they would annoy you...or did i send them, not sure...LOL...not those ones that say pass these on to everyone in the whole world...LOL...i had no idea that you can do that with the phone, i must try that with mine because i do need my sleep, i sleep badly and i wake up cranky, but to be rudely awaken constantly by this person was just not on, she just doesn't get it, i have asked her alot of times not to do it because i have no intentions of answering, that applies to people who forward tons of emails, i do like to keep my phone on though incase it's one of my boys and they need me for something, i just can't win can i? as for the emails i just delete the lot, i have no time for them at all....

Then, you can switch the moby off, so that pain dosent keep waking you up!

hahaha i know who you mean helen, i too have had them off him too, i have replied to a few but then i stopped because they were coming in thick and strong....i think he understands why i wont reply, infact i got an email from him today just asking how i was...lovely....yeah the lads have my number, but it's paul i worry about coz he cannot make many calls with being in the position he's in, so if anything happened i would not forgive myself if i couldn't get back to him, i have an extention lead for my landline so i will put another phone in the bedroom just incase....

i think what i am best doing is upgrading my phone because the one i have is old, it doesn't give me many features like these new ones do, but what you have told me is helpful, no matter how many times i tell this woman to stop, she still sends them, i am not getting through to her, she just tells me that she thinks they are funny and thinks that i will find them amusing, i do but not at 6 in the morning, i do not sleep well at night so when i do get a good nights sleep i am woken to this...it's so frustrating, she seems to think that it's funny, i don't want to change my number because i use it for work calls too, also one of my sons is in the forces and he can only make so many calls each month because he's travelling alot, so i need to keep it on to make sure he's ok....the only thing i can do is have harsh words with her and i don't want to do that because i hate being nasty to people, i will figure something out, maybe i should just get another phone and keep the card that i already have then i can block her...your input is useful so i will remember that in the future.

well i have just had a landline installed last friday so i guess i could turn off my mobile and leave the landline on, there's no getting through this this woman, it doesn't matter how many times i tell her she still sends them so it's obvious that she doesn't have any respect for me, i mean who sends text messages at that time in the morning? i would never ever do that, infact there are a chosen few that i would send them to but never the ones that say pass this on to 10 people, because it's a waste of time and money, if this woman is not going to listen to me then i am just going to have to cut her off completely because she is beginning to prickle at my nerve ends, i am a very patient person with people but when they do this it gets my back up....i guess i can leave the landline on at night JUST INCASE there's an emergency, but i think i am best turning off my mobile from now on, i do value my health and this person is not helping by sending these silly pointless texts so early in the morning. or maybe i should get a new phone that blocks numbers....the one i have doesn't do that, it's a bit of a fossil...lol...

thankyou anne, i will keep that in mind, keeping it on silent may be the solution, but it still doesn't stop this person from bombarding me with silly pass it on messages...what's the point, i have asked her so many times not to because they do not interest me and i won't be passing them on and wasting my credit, and she still does it...she just doesn't get it....

I just ignore these type of text messages. My friends don't spare any credits for me by thinking I would appreciate receiving such messages. Ignore would the best term to use for such situations.

yep, ignoring is the best way, but i think i will leave my phone on silent so i don't get woke up at 6am any more...

oh i hate them customer service companies who want to do surveys, i had a call recently because i entered a competition for a car, she asked me this and i said yes, i said have i won the car then and she continued to reel out all this stuff about terms and conditions and all that stuff, so i asked again "so did i win the car" and she came out with "well if you play online lottery...blah blah blah we can add you to the finals" so i said "DID I WIN THE CAR" and she said "no, but we can....click.....i hung up....LOL.....i didn't win the car but she was trying to get me to use a credit card online to do the lottery, i was not interested at all but she was trying to get me to spend money...no chance....

lol, i don't think it's a plice matter this woman is just being a pain in the arris that's all, she isn't getting it, she just doesn't see what's wrong with it, but she doesn't realise how annoying she is...i can delete them but she will send more, she sends then in a bulk folder so everyone of her contacts get them, i don't know how she can afford to waste that money on stupid messages like that when she could just make a phone call....

hi tamara, she did stop for a while but of late i have been getting these ridiculous messages, i asked her nicely at first and she did say that she THOUGHT i would like them, i said i did but they were not neccessary becase she is wasting her credit on pointless junk, plus i would not be responding to them, but she carried on, at one time she sent some at 4am and i went balistic, i actually rang her and asked her what she was playing at, she said sorry and thought i was still awake...DUH! then they kept coming, then i had to be harsh with her which lead me to shouting at her because i was just sick and tired of getting them, this morning was the last straw, she knew i was not impressed and i told her so, i did tell her that if i get any more then i will be cutting her off for good and i will not be intouch with her again, let's see if she listens to me this time, it's not even funny any more....

well since i jumped down her throat this morning i have not heard from her, if someone asked me not to send messages all the time i would say OK, no probs, but it's just registering in her thick skull....i don't hear from her for ages then all of a sudden she's bombarding me...it's just not on....

No it isn't on and certainly not at that time I mean it is lack of respect on her part to send them that early
I am always up early but would not dream of sending messages or phoning anyone

i did infact call her after she sent that text and i ranted at her, she was slienced for a few seconds and i have not hear anything since, so let's hope she gets the message this time...i don't want to be nasty to her but this is the only way of getting through to her thick skull, this weekend i am going to get me one of them nice touch phones with all the featurs so i will be able to block her as from this weekend..i just don't need it...

well, since i TOLD her yesterday she hasn't been in contact with me, i have told her that they are pointless and not to send them, but she still does at times, if she would listen to me then we would not fall out, but i told her not to send any more, i am just not interested an she's wasting her time...she did stop for a while but then after yesterdays scenario and waking me up i wasn't too happy, so she had to be told...AGAIN....sigh....something tells me she has a few brain cells missing....not registering....
