| Champions trophy lost its sting....  | | | |  Earlier Champions trophy used to be one of the highly watched cricket series in the world after world cup and ashes. But due to the advent of T20 and the lack of interest and patience to the viewers to sit through 10 hours for an ODI, the current series is jarring and spectator response is not upto the mark. Already demands have been raised by the younger lot about the change in the format from ODI to T20. I still love ODI but its not upto the pace of T20 where the time is utmost important to the current younger generation. Maybe ICC will revamp the format..

| |  It's true Champions' trophy is losing its sting.. but not as heavy as what the 50 over world cup is becoming. In champions trophy, each match is crucial and tight at the least (every match is interesting as there are no minnows in the tournament). But I'm sure that no youngster is gonna spend 10 hours and all to watch the whole match.. It just doesn't make any sense, spending such valuable time watching dull (relative to T20) cricket ( mostly). Shane Warne's statement about stopping One Day Internationals.. looks sensible to some extend!.. ICC is certainly trying to include more of the T20 format tournaments under it.. as the ODI tourne's are proving to be sort of wastes that they get merely no profit out of these....
