landlord tortures and murders annoying tenant  |

|  a property tycoon has been jailed for deciding the simplest and fastest way to deal with a tenant who was getting in the way of a deal was to kill him. of course he also tortured the poor man first, presumably because getting in the way of a millionaire and his deals will always require sadist revenge. hate them or loathe them landlords are a fact of life for many of us - have you come across any (hopefully far less brutal) misbehaviour by these people? i personally have only ever had the usual off them (stamping their feet and throwing a tantrum when you threaten them with court for not returning a deposit, not carrying out essential maintenance etc). on the other hand a friend of mine rented from an infamous glasgow slum lord who eventually got a bit of comeuppance when several of his tenants (not my friend) died from a gas leak caused by his neglect.

| | yes i thought about that, but when I go back to work it would be a struggle to pay the extortionate private rent! council and housing association prices are bad enough. This house isn't that bad really, just a bit small. | | | |

| |  You know jb, the sort that used to be worn with flasher macs. Don't tell me you've never come across a flasher round your ways, the UK was full of them, there used to be one on the bus coming home from work who was particlarly annoying.

| | this friend - wasn't based in glasgow was he? that is almost certainly something this one would do. i don't know whether this would be because he planned to knock off his tenants (which seems unlikely as that would involve expenses) or just let them die off through utter neglect. | | | |

| |  I hate slumlords. I use to be a landlord and the slums give landlords a bad name. I kept my properties in perfect condition and sent for repairs as soon as they were reported. I had one building that had a gas leak in the middle of the night and couldn't find anyone that could come that very minute to fix it so I sent everyone to a hotel on my dime. Although, at times I wanted to kill tenents. I remember one that called me because they were to hot. I was like then go buy a window air conditioner and I'll have one of my guys put it in for you, they wanted me to buy it and cover the extra electric because their apartment didn't have enough windows...
