Did You Borrow Your Friends' Clothes In High School?

My son is a high school senior and always comes home wearing something that isn't his. These clothing items could be jackets, t-shirts and lately, very expensive shoes. And these friends come over and put on his clothes. I thought only girls did this. My friends and I were stuck wearing uniforms "down under" in Oz so we didn't get the chance to borrow clothes much. Did you share and borrow clothes

That could be tough. I'd have to start calling in the morning and make sure we weren't wearing the same clothes.

We always shared clothes. It was funny because at time we wouldn't even remember who had purchased what originally. My cousin and I where the worst but then again we had to buy our own clothes so our folks didn't care what we did.

Ah, you must have had close friends. I was the same way with my cousins. We also looked alike, which made people think we were sisters. Loved it!

I didn't borrow clothes in high school. I was one of those skinny minny girls and nobody's clothes would fit me. Our cousins wore uniforms to school so there was no way we could exchange clothing. They couldn't wait to get home and change into regular clothes. I have a brother so that didn't work..lol I think borrowing clothes is more common with girls but also know boys do it too. We have 3 daughters and one of our kids was always loaning her things out to friends. She lost a nice winter coat one year by loaning to a friend.

Yep, we still have a $60 Element jacket hanging in my son's closet. He can't remember who loaned it to him. So far no one has asked for it back.

My classmate borrowed my physical education t-shirt . That was once. My mother adviced me to do not lend anything or borrow something personal from different person especially clothes so that I will avoid body odor other people have. Of course not all people have body odor and I can have it all the time according to her. I think it is normal for teens to borrow things from their friend but not all teens are doing it.

I wonder if sharing with siblings is a little harder than sharing with friends?

Hello my friend gtargirl Ji,
I do not think that it ever happened in our cases including my hubby. Our parents never tolerated such exchanges. Off course, what my hubby narrated once taht during winter saeson, he had to travel over-night for an interview, and he never had a coat, so he took for that journey from one of his friend. Normally we do among family members, but we always exclude under-garments.
May god bless You and have a great time.

My family is very strict and never allow sharing clothes of others. But in the High School, Teachers' Day was celebrated and we were supposed to act like a particular teacher and take classes of that teacher. How can a teacher wear Lahenga (long skirt), Blouse and take class? So I had to borrow my friend's sister's saree which she only tied it for me, as I did not know to tie, and I took classes.
