Do you prefer a leather jacket or a winter jacket duriing the winter?  

Definitely a winter jacket! I'm personally not a huge fan of leather, just because they're super expensive, and also it makes me cringe to think that I'm wearing an animal's hide. . I love being able to stay warm; but I prefer to do it with a down or wool jacket. Both down and wool also require the help of an animal; but in my opinion - it's a much less brutal process.

I have one of each and I may switch up depending on the conditions outside. But, you're right, there are not many leather jackets that are as insulated as a winter jacket, but I find they do a good job of blocking harsh winds. Most of the time, I wear my Carhartt because it is made for harsh conditions while working, and I don't want to damage my leather coat on something caused by the weather.
