Do you believe if a black cat runs out in front of you it is bad luck?  

this is so funny for the fact that this kind of phrases are around all over the world for years.
I don't belive in this kind of things.

I don't believe that black color brings bad luck or black cat brings bad luck. My grand father used to say that black cat represents devil and it is not good to keep a black cat at home. So, we throw a way one of the black cats born at our home. I don't really believe in any of those old beliefs. Some people in my place believes that not only black cat, any cat taht crosses infront of you brings bad luck to yo.

I am a bit superstitious but I don't believe that things with cat. I have black cats and I adore them. There's no way I will believe black cats bring bad luck. Black cats are cats, nothing more than that. They run around me all the time. It's hard to shake them off, especially when they're starving.

each time a black cat runs out in front of me, i do think of this belief which had been widely spread for decades. but nothing bad happens to me though. it is really weird that people still believe it. i suggest that we spread "if a white cat runs out in front of you it is good luck!" LOL!

I do not pay too much attention of it. I just treat those things normal.

I have a black kitten now which I rescued a month ago then my 9 year old nephew exclaimed. It's a black cat, you will be doomed for the next 20 years LOL Well, he read it somewhere from a book of myths and legends.
Well, I know the myth but black kittens are cute. My black cat died a few years back because he ate something from a neighbors which I believe had poisoned some rats.
Now, my nephew plays with the balck kitten really but sometimes just to freak somebody out he will shout don't touch it it will give you bad luck for 1o years.

In Romanian and Indian culture, especially in the historical region of Moldavia in Romania and everywhere in India still feared by many people is that black cats crossing their path represents bad luck, despite the fact that these regions were never affected by witch hunts or anti-paganism.

I really don't believe in such things. But most of them say that it is true. One time, when I was small, I believed in it and never let a black cat pass from my way, but one day, a black cat passed and I really got tensed and started thinking what to do, shall I go back or go where I was going. Actually it was a really important work that I had to do, so I decided to go where I had to go. So in the beginning I was thinking that will something bad happen but nothing happened and on the middle of the way, I started going happily and forgot about the black cat. And of course till I reached the my home, nothing happened. This all is seriously nothing, nothing will happen if a black cat passes by. And now I totally don't believe in this but I am scared of black cats, that is different because they look really dangerous, their eyes, too scary. So, I stay far away from them!

i am a rational person...that's just an old superstition
