What did you think of baby movements in your tummy when you were pregnant?

Hey geminikid, I didn't know you once had a preggo tummy - hee hee!! You're right about belly button!! Mine hasn't become an outy, but certain it has turned inside out and it spread out. If I get a green marker and draw a stem with leaves underneath, it could look like a small rose tattoo on my belly - hee hee!!!

Or you can paint your stomach orange, and go as a pumpkin on Halloween.

Heh heh - I've actually seen women do that! Maybe I can do without the paint - and just be Homer Simpson this Halloween - ha!

Isn't a wonderful feeling? My mom described like bugs in the stomach - and she was right - but to me it was more like something bigger! It's very exciting to feel all the movements. As you said, sometimes it's painful - but not in a hurting way (just startling!). Sometimes I feels like he's kicking my hip bones - very strange! Or it seems like he's stretching all the way that my tummy feels sooo tight!!! I remember missing my first one's kicks after she was born . . . but I'm glad I finally got to meet the person who was growing inside me all that time!!

It is indeed an unforgettable experience! I am looking forward to feel it again though my husbad and I decided not too soon.

Thank you!! Oh yes, the ultrasounds are pretty cool! It's one thing to feel what's in your tummy . . . but to see images of your child is just amazing!! I had an extensive ultrasound done before my amnio, but we didn't do the 3D thing. I've seen pictures of that and it's incredible how detailed those photos are! Actually we do have to be concerned if the baby is not kicking - particulary the later part of pregnancy - that's why we're supposed to do those kicking counts. It is a great feeling!!!

Oh, well congratulations to you!! First ones are so exciting!! Isn't it funny how you can predict when your baby is going to move? For me it's about ten minutes after eating . . . it's as if the baby is thanking me for feeding him - hee hee. Yes, the baby is already doing exercises inside us - hee hee - getting ready for that moment to enter our world. Good luck to you when the time comes!!

Yes, it is sort of a bizarre feeling, isn't it? You've read about it, and heard stories from other people about it, but it's amazing when you can experience it for yourself. Oh yes, and it does make pregnancy much more real . . . there is something definitely in your tummy growing!!!

Isn't it the strangest but most wonderfulest sensation to have a baby swimming arond in your pregnant belly? I can imagine how difficult it must be in losing a pregnancy - I'm so sorry. I "think" it happened to us too, but it happened so very early on and we never had it confirmed. By the time we feel movement, but just know things are moving along - a sign of relife. Wow - you didn't see your belly move? Sometimes I just look down and it looks like someone is crawling around under my shirt - hee hee!! My hubby and first one like to look at it - hee hee. That's funny about the object being kicked off your tummy!! My husband put his head on my belly with my first one - and she kicked him - hee hee!

I think those of us who feel the baby movements early on can feel it because we are sensitive to anything different going on with our bodies! It is funny because it's a startling feeling . . . how can something be in our tummies doing something like that?! I still get startled .. . particular at night when I'm half asleep - hee hee! How funny you put remotes on your tummy . . . I should do that and make it a game for my family - ha ha.

Oh yes, being a mom is a lot more work than I ever thought it would be! It's a tough job but I totally love it. Definitely there is a lot of responsibility attached to raising a child! Wasn't the journey of pregnancy just a wonder? Wow - you are one of the lucky ones without having to go through morning sickness (not fair - ha ha). It's amazing how your body knows just what to do for your baby . . . and the baby just grows and grows. Yah, we tell our little one that her little brother is saying hi to her too when she feels his kicks! It's funny after they are born, we go through the next stages and all this is just a memory. Hope you and your toddler are doing well!

It is neat to feel the baby trying to get comfy inside . . . it's just hard for mom to get comfy sometimes - hee hee. It's so strange to think there is a real person growing inside - and it lets you know it is definitely there! This is our last one . . . so I'm trying to soak it all in. It truly is special!

you have a gift from god in there muchtosay, definitely, i remember my babies used to get jammed into my ribs sometimes, it used to make me jump, lol, but just that nice feeling of knowing that life is growing inside is so special and beautuful...congratulations......

Thank you! This time the baby seems to be very low . . . not into my ribs, but kicking my hip bone!! But then again I have a couple more months to go, so it's possible it could get to my ribs - hee hee. When I get kicked at night when my tummy is sideways against the mattress, I sure jump when he kicks . . . it's as if someone snook up to me and poked me on the sides with their fingers!!

Thank you, puddytatt! Our second one is a boy (which will be new territory for me!). Our first one is a girl. Oh yes, we wanted to know both times - we wanted to prepare all we could too!! With my first one, the doctor was 80% sure it was a girl. I bought unisex stuff just in case, but I did splurge to buy girls stuff - and luckily she came out a girl!!! Hee hee. I had saved everything for the second one . . . and I was actually shocked that the second one was boy (I come from a family of girls, so I was just surprised). But we're happy!!

wow fantastic, now you will have one of each, i think that's great, i had 3 boys and always wanted boys, i am not a girl person at al...me and a daughter would certainly clash, especially if she was the same age as my son, 25, lol, i am so happy for you, you can still use all the stuff you had before but take the pink stuff out...LOL...blankets and stuff like that always come in handy no matter what colour they are....

I come from a family of girls, so that's why I just assumed I would be having a girl . . . so this whole boy thing will be new for me - hee hee. Yep, I've been sorting everything out . . . taking out anything pink - luckily most of the blankets were neutral!!

my nephew gave us our first little girl just a few months ago in 25 years, we all have boys in our family, my son has a son, my sister has a son and my bro has 2 sons, so now we have meagan who is 2 months old now, who is my brothers granddaughter, she is a beauty, my 2 other sons do not have children yet but it would be lovely to have a granddaughter from one of them....maybe one day...
