Will ebay become a fixed price website instead of auction base?  |

 I heard the rumor of that ebay gonna be in the transition of auction base website to a fixed - price website. Due to the reason that many ebay custoemrs don't have patience to wait for the bid to be done. Also, ebay's growth is kind of in stall, so a fixed - price website market would be more suitable for its future. What do you think about that? Did you hear any rumor like that?

1.  wlee9696 (350) | 2 months ago |  That would not surprise me. Ebay made it big being the "world's largest garage sale". Now it seems all they are is online retailers. The prices have been forced up by all the new policies they have in place so you can't get a good deal anymore. There are very few individual sellers, everyone's a retailer with a store somewhere. It's no fun anymore.

I gave a bad rating on the seller, and the seller revenge on a bad rating on me. So, ever since then, I never log into ebay account, and I never bought anything from it. | |

2.  spalladino (8861) | 2 months ago |  Ebay already has a fixed price option for sellers. My husband sells using both that and auctions for items that end up selling either low or high. Ebay would be shooting itself in the foot if it did away with the auctions because there are always other sites that will be more than happy to fill that void.

Too many people make great money from auctions going up, plus if people want to go with a fixed price they can set the buy now option and there they have a fixed price, no need for eBay to do a thing.
I think it would go over like a lead balloon.:)
