Why do basketball players wears rubber shoes instead of leather shoes?

There are many things no reason.I think the leather shoes are too weight and not convenience

I guess, rubber shoes is more appropriate when playing basketball as it is designed for running, brisk walking, and other movements used when playing basketball.=P I noticed that even non-basketball player wears rubber shoes, maybe because its comfortable to use compared to leather shoes.

Because rubber shoes are much more comfortable to use. We cannot move comfortably if we wear rubber shoes while playing basketball.

rubber shoes are made for that. there are different types of rubber shoes according to the sports event u participate. it is designed for comfort, ease, rugged environment, etc. most of all, it is designed for safety. would u feel safe wearing leather shoes while playing badminton, perhaps? and...sports rules specifically disallow leather shoes for obvious reasons (even referees wear rubber shoes).

you do not mean shoes you mean soles,the uppers are not made of rubber at all, but the same material as all sports shoes,not leather as leather would not breathe as well for their feet.

rubber shoes is not slippery soft and very light in running. leather shoes are stiff and slippery and not comfortable to use while playing basketball simple silly!
