In your opinion, is home warranty worth the money you pay for it? There were many complaints I heard from people about home warranty. Even they possess the warranty, but those companies who sell those warranties unwilling to honor the contract when it comes to problem to houses. A friend of mine, a month ago has problem with its water pipe, and it was leaking badly. When he called the home warranty, they seems reluctantly to take the responsibility to help fix it. The best solution I advised my friend, never pay for it again. Why not saving some money for a home maintenance fund each month, when you desperately need it, you can always take out the money to fix his home. What do you think?

In some areas home warranties are not very good. In your friend's case the warranty company was probably hoping that the homeowner's insurance company would cover the expense. I had a home warranty when my air conditioner/heat pump went out and it came in very handy since it had to be replaced. It would have cost me over $2,000 if I had had to pay for it myself.

Well, maybe you are a lucky case. From what I heard, there were more complaints on those home warranty companies than lauds. So, my suggestion to my friend still stands in my own opinion. It would be saved the trouble to go through those home warranty again.
