Excellent tips. Where was this knowledge when my daughter was small? Now that she talks (age 15) she just says, "Mom, I'm hungry." But she still expects me to jump right to it. Thankfully no tears after her hunger announcement....She just leans on me until food appears.

This is very interesting. My kids are all older thatn that, but it would have been a nice theory to be able to test. I'll try to remember it for when my sisters have kids. Hopefully they'll make me an aunt sometime soon.

This is cute :). I think most mothers natural instincts learn what each sound their baby makes means. I never knew there was a pattern like this that was common with most babies, I always thought each one had their own.

I'm not planning on having more babies but I will definitely start listening to every baby I see from now on (hope I still remember this when I become a grandmother lol)

I watched that show yesterday! I have a 2 1/2 month old so I found it very interesting. So far the only sounds she's been making since then are the neh sound. lol I really hear it though. It's crazy! It just makes me want to jump and feed her faster cause now I know that she's trying to tell me that she's hungry.
