 The boy was said to be happy that his 16 year old girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl, this week.
The father of the 13 yer old claims he will be a BETTER father than most 25 year old men. Now how can this child be a good father? he is just barely a teenager for goodness sakes. What would you do if this was your son/daughter? Would you back them up in keeping the child? Would YOU yourself take the child as your own? So many 'IF'S' here, it's such a shame that kids are becoming parents when they cannot even suppor themselves, let alone a family....Lori

And the boy doesn't really know what he's saying. How can he be a good father? He can't even support himself yet. How can he take care of a child when he's so young himself? What's really upsetting is how the boy got these ideas in his head and became like this. What happened to him? I hope this would not become a trend.

But it is sad that at this age he is still a child himself as such
It is sad that Children/Teenager are being so silly and giving up their Childhood like that
But well they have to take the Consequences now and I hope they will be able to cope with it

If it was my own child, I certainly wouldn't be saying that my kid was mature for his age and would be a better father than most 25-yr-old men. You can tell the problem's right there: even more stupid parents. Sigh. If my kid was mature, he'd understand all about responsibilities and the repercussions (both on his life and the baby's life), duh. I don't know what I'd do if my child got pregnant or got somebody pregnant that young, but if I had the resources, I'd probably take care of the baby. I have a 13-yr-old male cousin and he's all about playing video games, watching juvenile stuff on TV, trying to get out of doing chores and homework. I don't think he's even thinking about girls, thank heavens.

I am sure it will fall upon the shoulder of his or her parents to carry the financial burden of raising theis child, and he will just have to worry about all the fun stuff.

This boy is a child himself, and there is not a way in the world that he can do right by this baby. He is still a chld himself for goodness sakes!
This is a very tough situation because if it were my grandchild I would have to stand by my son no matter how ridiculous the circumstances. I wouldn't want my grandbaby not to be a part of my life.
There are no easy answers to a situation like this once it is a done deed. Just pray for that poor innocent little baby!
