CRT or LCD Monitor

wow!It is hard to see a CRT monitor anymore.People that i contact merely use CRT monitor.And LCD monitor is goog for your eye health.

Now i use DELL's LCD Monitor. I like to use it, because it's brighter, more clean display and more compact shapes rather than my old CRT Monitor. It also look more stylish. All computer in my office already use LCD Monitor. Because it's simple and make us move more freely in our desk.

I have Compaq CRT at home and being used for watching TV as well as for computer. But I have LCD of ACER in my office. So I am experiencing/ enjoying both technologies. Have fun.

Its neha again, Well aadesh you started a good discussion for me because I am going to buy a new PC on this DIWALI. I am going to buy a LCD/TFT monitor 19" LG Brand. The reason is that LCD looks beautiful as well as it takes a few place on table.
I will suggest you to buy LCD of LG, Samsung OR SONY. because these companies are already in Television market and they know how to improve the quality, while the other company assemble the monitor.

About having a monitor both of them are important even if you are using a crt or an lcd. Right now I am currently using the crt monitor because the LCD before was very expensive.

But as technology continues to improved I've heard from a friend of who is using and LCD monitor as well as technicians they really like and an LCD monitor because it's econimical and it saves tremendous amount of electricty and it is also good for our eyesight. And according to some designers LCD is stylish and it saves space in your room.For me I I prefer to have an LCD monitor even though it's a bit expensive for as long as it saves money.

Hello aadesh! I still use a CTR monitor for the reason that when I bought my PC last year, LCD monitors (17" and above) were available at quite a high price. Including a CRT, I could afford few other features of my PC. I would love to switch to LCD, but I've to say like Russel Crow in Gladiator, "Not yet! not yet!"

I would definitely go with LCD monitor than CRT. LCD's don't take much space on your table and it's pleasing to your eyes because it doesn't irritate will on your eyes as well. And more thing about it is it doesn't consume much more power than those bulky CRT monitors.

My computer set is very new…I bought it in May this year after selling my old bulky set. I have bought an LCD monitor mainly coz of the less space it takes. My previous Samsung CRT monitor used to occupy so much space on the desk, there was hardly any space left to do anything else. So I was determined that even if it does cost more, I would buy the flat LCD monitor. Only problem is with the viewing angle but then it’s the same with all flat screen monitors and TV and we have got used to it.

Guess what? I have a Samsung CRT monitor too.
Well, I have a desktop at home and also a notebook and netbook. My desktop is old, but has been upgraded constantly. Thus, the monitor is a CRT one. Since it has been working properly so far, there was no need to replace it. Meanwhile, I bought a notebook and netbook for work and travel.

I have no issues in using the CRT, but for the mere fact of power efficiency. I would prefer an LCD monitor to reduce power-consumption. But otherwise, I think a CRT is robust and good too.

Hi aadesh.Even I am using a CRT monitor ans even I do not have a single problem with it.But even if I had to buy a new monitor someday then I will definitely go for LCD.It is not because I do not like CRT but because we have to keep up with the changes or else we would be left beind.Like I did not like Vista compared to XP but I moved on.
