I Couldn't Wait

Oct. 4, 2009 - This is what I've accomplished so far on Scarlet Quince's adaptation of Paul Peel's painting, "The Young Botanist".

Even though I don't have all the floss I'll need for "The Young Botanist" I couldn't wait to get started on it. I pick up material at thrift stores for a fraction of the cost and just keep them on hand for times like this, when I just have to get started on a project. I had a piece of 16-count aida that was supposed to be 20"x24", just the right size for TYB. Thing is, I never took it out of its tube before. Yes, it was 20"x24", but in TWO PIECES! Argh!!! Luckily, I had another piece of material large enough, but it's something like 19.5-count soft evenweave, not aida. If I don't go blind (or bonkers) working on it, it should be ok. And you thought I was busy. You sure are getting a lot of crafting done. Wish I had the talent and perseverence. Good luck.

Thanks. My goal is to have this done in a year.
