| The Dog whisperer or Victoria Stilwell, who is better? | | | | I am a fan of both shows, "The Dog whisperer" and "It's me or the dog?" Whose methods do you like better? I am always intrigued by Cesar Millans' psychological approach to correcting an inappropriate dog behavior and doesn't consider his technique 'dog training.' Sometimes however, Cesar uses kicks to a dogs' rear, yanks and pulls to the leash in order to achieve the correction. Victorias' method seems to use conditioning and reward in order to psychologically change a dogs' bad behavior. Victorias' method is clearly training and in my opinion seems more practical. The downside is the way in which she trains requires the dog owner to repeat certain actions with the dog over and over again which eventually, can become draining. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | I think both of them are really good shows. I combine techniques I learned on both shows with my dogs. I do think that sometimes C. Millan strongholds the dogs and doesn't always show enough compassion. However, I don't really agree with the way that V. Stilwell uses treat training. I think that sometimes the dogs can be taught other ways. | | | | | | | | | | Amazing Doggie Daycare Amazing Doggie Daycare and upscale boarding and grooming salon www.commondog.com | add comment | | | |
