Who doesn't want to travel, anyway?

i would like to head over to europe and the us but alas, we just dont have the money to do so. so i am stuck being an arm chair tourist. i check books out of the library on different places.

Well I can say that it's definitely not me, since I've traveled my entire life, have been to lots of amazing countries and experienced all kinds of wonderful things while traveling. However, I have a friend who's ex boyfriend had never traveled anywhere, hadn't ever been on a plane? Now I find that to be absolutely mind boggling?? Of course in his defense he's always been a workaholic and wanted to get ahead in life, plus he has a fear of flying as well. I couldn't understand why someone wouldn't want to experience and see the world around them. I think that he has the type of mentality that thinks that everything he needs is in his own country, Canada...not!! One day we're also planning on having a house built in Europe so that we can live there part of the year. I can say for myself that I'm bored of living in North America and need more of a change.

i want to go to other places but i hate to travel.i find it so tiring to travel especially landtrip. it makes me dizzy.

I'd love to travel around the world indefinitely, with my cameras on tow to take the wonder of the world The One has created for us. But Alas, I have no resources to do so yet...

Well, some people don't like to get out of their comfort zone. I would love to travel the world and see whats out there.

I talked about my travels in another discussion today and I had to admit that as much as I loved travelling when I was younger, now that I have a family, a mortgage and not much money travelling is out of the question for a while. I do relate to the beauty of taking long journeys and the opening of the mind and the horizons...One day I will be doing it again, I'm sure...

I absolutely love traveling and it sure is a nice conversation starter. I think travel makes us more culturally developed and less prejudice. I've traveled to the west indies and many places in europe and love how different every place I go to is. The only thing I hate about traveling is the actual getting there part. It's very stressful to drive, fly, whatever because of all the packing and planning involved and the tedious details. Otherwise I love love traveling.

Travelling is, like you said, a way to sit back and relax. This world is bigger than a lot of people think and there are so many place that are so interesting that I think it's hard to not partake in it.

I myself find travel as a way to view the incredible diversity in foreign cultures. It makes me appreciate life that much more knowing that the world is filled with billions of interesting people. It also makes me realize how fortunate I am with all the luxury and freedom I possess in comparison to other geographical locations.

Travel could be on the top of young people's wish list. Young people like something different from what they see and hear everyday; they like make friends and contact different culture. I think travel is the only way to give the young people such an experience directly. The problem for young people is they are lack of time and money. However with careful planning we can save money and time to travel at small cost. Anyway travel can expand our scope and make us understand the world is much bigger and more interesting than we can imagine. If I can find time and money, I will spend them on travel.
