If Life is like a Box of Cherries?

then what am I doing in the pits? At least this is the way I feel life is dealing me sometimes. Can you relate?
My FIL is in the hospital right now in Intensive Care with a severe infection. It has only been 2-3 yrs. since I lost my real dad to Cancer, so this is stirring up a lot of memories and why me. But it is just another fork in the road of life.

The older we get the more people we know who are ill and die. It's just a part of life unfortunately, and people have no choice but to live with it. My grandmother outlived 3 of her children and spent the end of her life grieving for them. I'll continue to pray for you. I'd be wondering "why me" too.
