I usually do not like to throw food as food has become so expensive, so I keep the leftovers in the fridge. As eat them only the next day. I do not keep them too many days in the fridge. I prefer to bring leftovers at work the next day. In this way I will not worry for the next day lunch and I will get time to prepare myself for work as the food is already ready. What do you do with the leftovers?

it's not healthy to eat leftover.one suggestion for you is that you can prepare less for each meal.anyway, what you eat is important,it affects your energy and indirectly affects your work efficiency.so be healthy.

I´m a very healthy 64 years old woman who eats lots of leftovers. In fact, I think that if I wasn´t so lazy, I could make a big cookbook about what to do with them. If you put them where they should be, no reason for them to be unhealthy. I can eat a 1 week old rice: I make a rice omelette with melted cheese and chives. I have never had food poisonwink

yes. leftovers that are properly keep. even excess foods left by my children on their plates which they can no longer eat. i guess, its a virtue of being the breadwinner, i know how hard to make money just to have food on the table. waisting them is like waisting your hard-earned money.

I also don't like to throw food so I usually keep it in the fridge. Next day, I will heat it up very well and eat it - there is no harm and all the bacteria will be killed by the heat. In fact, I sometimes feel that the leftover food is actually better because the spices have "gone into" the food giving added flavor.

Sometimes, I will even improvise on leftovers and make a new dish mixing it with some fresh ingredients!

I eat what I prepare. It is very easy for me because I do not have anyone else but me here. It did take me a while to gauge rice and noodles with their uncooked to cooked expansion rates but I eventually got it. But then when I was younger, I would consume everything.

Now there are things that take a couple of days to prepare in my opinion. My chicken and rolled egg dumplings I prefer to leave sitting for a day to let all the spices be absorbed by the chicken and the dumplings, to be reheated before serving. A lot of soups I prefer that way, and most chilies. I suppose all of those are actually soups, some thicker than others ...

I find with genuine leftovers, if I save something from a restaurant (thankfully lately I'm finding many are serving smaller portions, and you don't have to be a senior to get it) most likely I will forget about it, and it would have been better left on some compost pile.

When it comes to leftovers I will either save it for lunch the next day or for dinner again. I too hate to throw food away and with so many starving in the world it just wouldn't be right. I know people who for some reason can't eat leftovers and I just don't understand it.

yes, i eat leftovers as long as they are yet spoiled. I love pasta that is always makes most of the leftovers. Or we have roasted chicken and we have alot left then we use it to make a different dish.

We usually eat them for lunch here as well or breakfast sometimes if we need to. Depending on what it is sometimes I'll freeze the item and reheat it another time. Like my hubby makes huge vats of chili and we don't eat that much of it so I freeze it in zip bags. I can't see wasting, nor can I afford to.

I don´t like to eat the same thing every day. But as I live alone but lead a nice social life, it´s easy for me to have leftovers. I prepare them in another way so they look new. Blenders help a lot to change caseroles into nice soups and creams. I always have some grated cheese to put on top or make fried diced bread if I have some leftover bread.
Rice can stay in good shape in the fridge for a week. I add some oil to leftover pasta so it won´t stick. I make omerlettes with just about anything that´s in the fridge. When there´s more, I make quiches. I buy unexpensive cheese that melt and but it inside, diced.
I have found that whole chicken is a lot cheaper that cut pieces. So I put the chicken in the oven (I have a small electric oven just fit for one bird). Then I start with the several lives of the roasted chicken. Hot and cold, as it is or made into sauces, anything.
I must confess though that I love to cook.

I am like you. I do not like to waste food, as money is getting tight these day. I will keep the leftovers in the fridge for 1-2 days, then it is bad for me after that. I will either eat them for lunch or for dinner the next day.
