Can YOU tell when your partner is upset with you?

I can easily tell when my partner or boyfriend is upset with me. One of the first sign is that he don't look directly in my eyes when I am talking to him. He's answer were always a Yes, No or Maybe. He doesn't respond to my text messages or answer my calls. Those things that they normally do and suddenly is no longer there... this should tell you that your partner is upset with you. If you are a keen-observer and sensitive enough, you can easily tell that. But if your relationship is early, it is still too early to tell.:)

yeah i do because my husband would really tell it straight on me when he is upset with me. he hides nothing so i am just glad about it.

Yeah I know when he is upset up with me. He will take a while to answer me and then it is a short quick response. If he is sitting at the table he will get a book or something to read. Well I will say that he pretends to read. I usually don't give up until he is talking to me again. Yeaaa....I got him talking again..LOL

This is completely opposite to me. My partner never gets upset and never finds fault with me. I feel she knows that to make an educated and intelligent fellow making face and grumbling is not the way out and therefore with her silent protest I gave up smoking.

On the contrary this is me who go upset and respond with a single word. lol

I honestly do not know when Rex is upset with me, because he has NEVER been upset with me not once in the year we have been together. And I have NOT been upset with him once either. So this will be something new to me if & when it happens... I've been very blessed to have Rex in my life. It's only love,kindness,thoughtfulness,taking care of me, & me of him.. I love him so...lori

When my partner is upset with me, he jus keep quite and walked-out. Sometimes, when i asked him, he answered me with the hard tone, indicating his upset and ignoring me. But i get to used of it, when i'm upset i do the same thing at him.

Usually there are signs. Like the words," I hate you" are said.

I can honestly say my husband never gets like that with me these days,he used to sulk like a big kid.It used to drive me around the bend and so frustrated with him and he would never say what I had done.It nearly split us up as I found it so difficult to put up with.I said in the end if he did not speak up and be honest with me it was over.I also said I had a small baby,and two teenagers to cope with and needed a supportive partner not another child.So these days he says outright if I have done something to annoy him and we talk or shout it through depends on what it is.Clear the air and it works so much better for me.He seems a lot happier as well.

i believe that most men do the same thing when they are upset or angrey with you.most likely you will recieve the avoidance/ignore response...i sometimes wonder if they secretly want you to drag their thoughts out of them,,,when you are asking if there is a problem they will usually say..."oh its nothing"..don't believe this...it is a ploy...yes they secretly want you to drag out of them what the real problem is, however,,if you fall for this trick, it comes with heavy equipment behind it...starting out with he had a bad day at work to something from the past he will not let you forget until it is a full blowout session. at this point he fels he has the right to give you the silent treatment in order toavoid a fight (which of course you started because you would not let him be when he was in a perfectly good mood)...after quite a while, even possibly a day of silence..the truth will come out...only when you have apologized for living several times in complete tears.
my suggestion, although impossible to follow myself, is to ask once and one time only if their is a problem. if he says no, then do likewise and leave him alone.this will save you the senseless middle fight before the truth. let him ignore you for as long as he wishes. if he tries to bring up the past or start a completely unnessesary argument..simply say.."why don't you let me know the real problem here."
If at this point he still tries to start an argument over nothing..simply leave the room and tell him you will be glad to talk when he is ready to let you know the real problem. then ignore him. this should throw him off balance to the point he may give in and let you know what he is bothered about.
