 A penny really isn't worth a whole lot these days. But as a lot of people will say, every penny counts.
I know some parents won't let their kids pick up dirty pennies off the ground, but my child gets excited finding any sort of coin - so I let her. She proudly puts it in her pocket and promptly saves it in her piggy bank when we get home. She can always wash her hands - no big deal.
And picking up money from the ground might sound like nothing, but my friend's mother who walks every morning claims she got over 100 dollars in change in the course of a year - just from her walks.
Do you pick pennies off the ground? Or do you pass them by - because a penny really isn't much?

It's true...every penny counts, especially in these times of financial hardship. It's true it's totally grotty and disgusting and you really have no idea where that coin has been, but the same could be said of any bit of cash you get given by a cashier.
SO yeah, I pick up all spare change I see.:) It'll all add up!

That's a very famous song in China in my child time. but it's very pity that it's hardly for me to see a penny from my walks, but for sure, I will pick it up and I also will teach my baby to pick it up too in the future. not for money but I think this will make our children know the value of money. Every penny is not easy to earn, please take care every money you have... thanks

It may be a big deal if the penny falling down from an AIDS patient and my hand is bleeding. Someones think that the coins on the street can bring the luck to you. Well, so for me, it's enough lucky to see the coin, and I leave this luck to another who feels that he's not fortunate until picking it up.

I saved all the money that I picked up from the ground. I accumulated a decent amount, so I was able to buy something that I truly wanted.
