As I grow older and faced all sorts of people and challenges, I do not think of finding people qualities to be friend of mine. I am afraid when I think that, that person has all the qualities I look for in friend, but still able to hurt me badly, the pain is very unbearable. So, now I become friends to all, but do not trust people easily. I do want to share what I felt, but because of my bitter experience, I don't think I can trust anyone deeply anymore. I can have my ownself to trust.

It's nice to have fun getting to know other people in areas that you go through but i have my limits like not telling my own to people just met. most specifically secrets or sensitive issues that you didn't like bringing it up. wow you're lucky to have a husband who is your best friend. good luck for the both of you.

I completely agree with you. I want my friends to be honest. I think honesty is the most important thing in a friendship as well as with anything else in life. I like to be able to talk about anything with my friends and know they wont go back and blab it all over the town. I give them the same respect. Some of my friends I can talk about different things with and know they wont sit there thinking what a freak I am. Others I am honest with of course but dont feel I can voluntarily tell them EVERYTHING. If a friend asked me a question that had an embarrasing answer I would tell them since they asked but I would just come out and bring up the topic and discuss things with all of my friends.

Friend is a kind of particular person,U will tell ur secrets to them which won't even tell ur partner,u will feel much more better as soon as u are with ur friend,even he or she has not say one word to u when u get hurt.

just like you, i want someone who i can trust. i also look for loyalty, as i am like that to all my friends. i have very few close friends, not more than 5 actually, i'm very thankful for them. i have been betrayed many times by so called friends so i try to be careful when choosing friends, and as much as possible the first time i dont talk a lot.
