I am sitting here shaking my head at how seriously touched Marco and a few other that posted there are. I have never been a Bush fan but Obama is far from God and people need to stop acting like he is the be all end all

I agree....the thing is; people on the liberal side really did believe he was the newest greatest thing to come along and now that their balloon is popped they are not too happy.
I personally feel that this is a good thing. No one man should be held in that high of esteem unless he's the actual Messiah....and then we should all be able to tell he's back.

Well, this could be the beginning of the end of this world. This is actually disgusting, and when we go this far as to put him on the american flag, without consequences, then I'm not sure I want to stick around and see how worse this world gets.

I am SOOOOOO utterly confused about Obama worship. I truly, truly am. I won't insult or make fun of the people praising him like a god. As an agnostic individual brought up around some diehard southern Baptists and Catholics, I understand that "faith" is extremely relative per the individual. Like, for the example, my uncle who only loves Jesus when he's 3 games back on the football pool.

But at least with religion, there's a basis for worship. There are centuries-old stories, jam packed with righteousness and miracles and pure-of-heart goodness that common men and women can only aspire to.

Relate that to Obama's story. Not-so-poor mixed kid grows up cushy, attends great schools. Openly uses drugs. Uber-leftist lawyer, becomes community organizer suspiciously close to Ayers and Farrakhan and the like. Adopts "whitey is the devil" philosophy. Never actually "organizes" anything. Digs into the private lives of his running mates during Senate race but keeps his private life private at ALL COSTS. Goes on to be one of the most useless Senators in the history of America. Makes a speech, people swoon as he plagiarizes long-dead CRM activists. Develops an incredible fan base. President. King. God. (In no particular order).

Where are the miracles performed? Where's the temptation-fighting righteousness? What about Barack Obama, other than what he says, is so good at all?

Two words that are thrown out by EVERY politician--hope and change--were thrown out by Obama, but with him, the origin of the words was rewritten. It's like he coined the terms. He's the ONLY person in the world capable of inspiring hope and bringing change all the sudden.

Huh? No. He's a random schmuck politician.

But it was all inevitable. The leftists have been setting themselves up for idol worship for years and years. They've rejected everything good and decent and put the same mythical white, conservative, greedy face on it. They've taught it to generations of children. They've implemented their failed ideas and watched as free people became slaves to a system again, all the while knowingly blaming that face to keep their base growing. The select few in power have been selling lies to the many for decades in order to steal power. Then here's Obama. The time was right.

The man is truly worshipped. The only hope we have is that enough of us will wise up before 2012. The same hacks worshipping him will go right back to their routines: knocking everything that isn't failed ideology and blaming everyone else for America's (cans) shortcomings.

I truly believe in Martin Luther King's ideology of judging a man by the content of his character not the color of his skin. Obama's character is what bothers me. I have seen a self importance that exceeds even the President of the US. His actions make me believe that he is vindictive towards anyone who even thinks to question him. He surrounds himself with people who do not uphold the basic beliefs of our country - they are communist, terrorist and worse. So having Obama see himself with his face on the US flag - as if he is an Emperor, King or other figure with absolute power - does not surprise me at all. People need to wake up before we cannot fix the problems Obama is creating.
