If you saw a movie star eating would you stop and ask for an autograph?  

i would n0t ask for an autograph, im a fan of some stars but m0re of a music fan. And even if i am i am n0t fond of autograph but more of a photo person.

I wouldn't approach him/her either. It's really difficult to be in the limelight often to the point of being conscious all the time. I think they love the pleasures of people just letting them be (unless they are publicizing or doing that to endorse themselves) but when they're with friends, colleagues, and most importantly family I think we should all learn to respect to give them space. After all, they are still humans and they need time for themselves like all of us.

It's really appalling how some media people won't let loose these actors and actresses, waiting for a scoop of whatever in order to make money. I mean, yes they are movie stars, but they have a life to live as well, we should all respect that.

I would wait until their done eatting. I wouldnt want someone coming up to me while Im eating and asking me to sign a picture or whatever. I think its just rude to do this.

Movie stars and other celebrities are people too, and they want to enjoy their meals as much as we do. In my personal opinion, I find it to be rude to approach anyone while they are eating, famous or not. People try to justify their behavior to 'stars' as "the obnoxious fanbase comes with the fame," but, once again in my opinion, no one should be disrespected like that. Those that seem to believe that they would not mind being constantly bombarded by fans probably have not been in the "shoes" to actually make that decision.

I am not interested at all in autographs so I would not ask for an autograph in anyy case. I have met a lot of very important people in my life and they are just like everybody else. For me an autograph is a piece of paper. That is, nothing. I am interested in sharing memories with people.
When I was very young my boyfriend (afterwards my husband) was a very popular professional soccer player in my country. We couldn´t go to the movies in peace because of people stopping us in the street asking for autographs. I think there is no "ok" situation, except if the person goes somewhere to sign autographs.

No, I wouldn't do that. I often meet celebrities at the airport or planes (as I travel a lot), but I never ask them for photos or autograph. I would just take a look though, and that's it. If I were in a book promotion with the author was there to give autograph, then maybe I'd ask for it, because that's one of the reason they are there. But as for interrupting while they are eating, that's a nope! I don't like being interrupted while eating, why would I do that to others? Cheers!

no, i won't do that. if ever i see a movie star there, i am just glad to have that opportunity of seeing them. maybe i will ask them if i can take pictures of them in a distance and which will only take a few minutes. i admire them but not to the point of asking autographs from them. there is a place for signing autographs if i really need to do that ... and not when they are eating.

probably not. I have met some famous people out in public and spoken to them and forgot even ask for their autograph. Metallica came in the store that I work at on their way to a concert. I talked them them for a while and they were just down to earth and really friendly. My brother was not to happy with me for not getting their autograph. I didn't think of it.

no i wont.. it is not good to interrupt as you mentioned.. oneday i met this person who is really famous in my country.. he is not a movie star..but a criketer.. criket is reallly famous in sri lanka.. we love our cricketers.. and consider them gods lol.. so i asked this guy for his signature and he was kind enough to give it,,,

I completely agree with what you have said. These people have a right to their privacy, and they deserve to at least eat in peace. Plus, I don't understand what is all this social obsession about celebrities. They are just regular people who act for a living. That's all. What's the big deal?
