hi friends.i earlier created a discussion about the 3 home team losing in their first match and what would happen if all 3 home teams go out of the tournament.ofcourse the tournament would be dead cuz no one want to watch a match featuring teams they never heard of but unfortunately,it was removed.
anyway i became how modi would react if all 3 teams exit in the first round and i was in for a surprise.
[b]delhi which scored a meagre 97 in their first match and lost convincingly won their second match by almost 40 runs and virtually through to the semis.
weird
royal chalangers bangalore who fail to defend a score of 180 against cape cobras beat the otago volts by 81 runs with the same bowling attack that is if u dont count mcgrath.
weirder.
i can bet my entire fortune that deccan chargers will defeat the very impressive team of trinidad and tobago in tomorrows match thereby making all 3 teams advance to the quarter finals.
i dont think most of you would have thought that 2 of the 3 home teams would make it to the second round after their performance in their first match then how it happened?
not just victories.but victories of a very huge margin.
i smell a match fixing stuff here and it will be made stronger tomorrow when deccan chargers win by a big margin and it would be confirmed if all 3 teams make it to the semis.

Match fixing is a stuff that every one dislikes because it wipes out the interest from a cricket match and the match becomes one sided. The present stuff of champions league is not a match fixing one.I agree that all the home teams lost there initial matches and two of the teams have won their second match with huge margin and are through to the quarters. But we must remember that matches are played in India and if the home teams lose it is a huge insult to there prestige and dignity.the teams won because they came back strong and were in a do or die situation to win the match.
Also we can observe the difference in the caliber and quality of players in each team.out of the 12 teams about 6 are strong while others are moderate so such results... hope Deccan chargers win and advance and let us not consider it as match fixing

lol.if the indian players can perform like this because of playing infront of home crowd and losing will be an insult,we should have won the last australia-india odi series 7-0 or even 4-3 but we lost it badly.as i said those 3 teams will make it to the semis and i sincerely hope they wont fix the finals too.
btw if to quote ur own words,"But we must remember that matches are played in India and if the home teams lose it is a huge insult to there prestige and dignity.the teams won because they came back strong and were in a do or die situation to win the match", the 2011 world cup is surely ours .in our dreams.

Bangalore Royal Challengers and Delhi Dare Devils teams were playing with different nationality players. Whereas Cape Cobras, Wayamba, New South Wales, Victoria Bushrangers and Otago are playing with their nationality players. So, these teams will be knowing their strenghts and weakness.. But DD lost the first match very badly due to poor batting and Bangalore RC lost the first match because of superb batting by J P Duminy. In the second match DD's Sehwag played a qucik knock and Dinesh Kartik too scored a quick knock of 60 plus which helped DD to post a tough target for batting second team. In Delhi, batting second was always tough. If DD have scored more than 97 runs, then they would have won the first match as well.
Coming to RC, they have taken care of Brendon Mc Cullum very soon and it was over for Otago team because all the other players are not much known for big hitting and chasing 180 is not easy. Kumble bowled superbly and even Kallis too.
Deccan Chargers lost to Trinidad and Tobago team and they are out of the tournament and one local team is not playing Super 8. So, I feel no match fixing is going around.. You see either New South Wales or Trinidad and Tobago or Cape Cobras might win this Champions league.. If DD performance is outstanding then they too have chance..
