Do you think it's silly meeting someone online for serious relationship?

I don't believe this kind of relationship. Because we don't know other persons charactor and it's not advisable to continue such relations.
I have seen couple of my friends who make serious relationship with online friends.
I never share any personal information with online buddies. Online buddies are for only knowledge sharing only not for life.

yeah you are correct.i have heard.but i haven't seen my online friend .i didn't meet him.i didn't hear his voice.and i didn't his face.but his my best friend in online.but some people if do friendship,they think it's love.i think it's not love.love is different.friendship is different.both are very important in ours life.what do you say.do you agree with me.if you agree with me,thank you.if you don't agree with me,no thanks.anyway your discussion is superb

It's entirely possible but what these people don't realize is that first off computer relationships never work out for one reason or another. What generally happens is that two people will talk to each other for a long time and start developing an image of this person in their mind and start believing that they've fallen in love but what's actually happened is that the person has fallen in love with the image of this person they developed in their mind rather than the true actual person.
Some of these people set up a meeting with each other and when they finally do meet most of the time each one begins to realize that the person they are seeing face to face is not the person or image they've built this person up to be in their minds. The meeting didn't go at all like they expected and when they leave they part disappointed to return home and they very rarely ever talk to each other on the computer after that. There have been cases where people meeting on the computer then meeting face to face and wind up getting very happily married but that scenario is very rare to the point of being almost nonexistant.

Honestly, I find it a little weird but cute (and a bit romantic) at the same time. I know there are people online who meets up and fall for each other. Though its kinda weird knowing their relationship were established via the internet still you can't help but to be amazed how their love story begins. To define how they truly love each other depends on how long they're gonna be together. There are stories such as this and live their lives together successfully. In fact, most of them claim their found love as their "soulmate". It could be true because, it is indeed hard to find someone whom you share thoughts, ideas, feeling and emotion. Falling for someone you never met personally is really something. There are some who traveled a thousand miles just to see the person they knew would bring happiness to their lives and fill their heart with joy and with so much love.

I don't think it is silly meeting somebody online for a serious relationship. The main point is both of you should be very sure about what you are doing. Both of you should be serious findign a partner. My husband and I met online through a matrimonial website. We contacted through emails and finally met each other. We decided to ger married afater three dates. Now, we are having a wonderful relationship.

Hi,irene,This discussion has the response in two directions.There is a possibility of real and genuine relationship,provided if they are honesty in expecting relation.But in many cases it is utilized and there will not be any chance for realistic approach.Have a nice time.

welll we just cant come up to a one sided answer about this... i personally would say it is silly to meetup some one online for serious relationship....but i have seen people who are very happy together thoug they met up at 1st online...

Depends. I have heard about people that got married after some online dates. So anything is possible. You can meet the right person anywhere. Same people are at the club and on the internets.

Hey,my answer is definitely yes. One of my classmate did meet a sweet girl online,and they fell in love. After two year's love they got married last year and lived happily everyday. It is hard to find someone having a lot in commom with you,but love will give you a guiding.

I don't think it's all that silly if it's a real thing and both are serious with each other in their relationships. In g=fact I have a friend who knows her husband through online and now that they are married for 8 years now and still going on strong in their marriage.
So, I would think it's not all that bad meeting someone online and starting a real relationship if both parties knows what they are doing and trust each other.
